American Honda Motor Company employees recieved a letter this week as to the sponsorship with Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Here is an excerpt:

To meet the many challenges and opportunities that we will face together, I am very plesed to announce that Honda and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., have agreed to develop a corporate business alliance that will lead us together into the next decade of new and exciting opportunities.

2005 will also present Disney with many new opportunities, as they enter their 50th Anniversary amid growth and development, not only on the west coast, but globally as well. As they celebrate their Golden Anniversary, we are very fortunate to be able to partner with the Disneyland Resort as they enter their new period of growth.

With this exciting new alliance, you will soon see Honda become the presenting sponsor of the new "Remember...Dreams Come True" fireworks spectacular, and of the will known Grad-Nite celebration that takes place in the the spring. Also, ASIMO will be demonstrted at a special new display in the Innoventions exhibit in Tomorrowland, which may also feature other Honda technologies in the future.

In addition, Honda will be designated the "official" product in each of our exisiting product categories and work closely with Disney to discover new business, marketing, and promotional opportunities in all areas of our respective businesses, as we strive to meet our challenges for the future.

I find it odd that Disney would have a sponsorship relationship with GM at one of their parks, but partner with Honda at another park. I wonder if that's any indication that there are "changes afoot" at Test Track.
