No alarm was set and we are all slow to rise this morning. Our usual morning routine is done and we are heading out the door to Epcot today. We have a 12 noon ps at Le Cellier, but we stop at Innoventions West first for some fun and games. Getting Terry and the boys out of here is as hard as it is to get me out of a store.
We still have time, so we go to see the circle vision O Canada film. I do love this movie as it brings back childhood memories of all the times we spent on family vacations in Canada. My Mom is Canadian and we used to visit Ottawa and Toronto every summer. Oh I forgot to mention, today is Canada's birthday.
Le Cellier is one of our favorite places to eat at the World Showcase. Terry orders the French Dip, Zachary the cheesburger, Nicholas the chicken nuggets, and myself the cheese soup and mixed salad greens. Everything is excellent and we are once again very full.
We're not sure which direction we want to go, but start walking over to the Imagination Building. We've never gone in here before so we spend hours in here having a great time. First the Honey I shrunk the Kids show, then the Figment ride, and last but not least the Kodak section. Not too many people in here today, so we have lots of time to send and purchase silly postcards. Terry and the boys decide to have one of those crystals made for my birthday. It is so cool. Its about 3 inches big and has the boys picture engraved inside of it as well as Sorcerer Mickey and the year. It sits on a little stand that lights up in different colors and shows off the boys faces beautifully. I just love it and have the perfect spot for it at home.
Now its hot and sticky so we decide to head out, but not before we walk right on to Spaceship Earth, (or the Big Ball as Nick calls it), another favorite of the boys. A quick bus ride back to our room and we all take a little rest. We manage to get an hour rest in before we have to shower and dress for the evening. Everyone looks nice as we step out of our room, and it starts to rain. Good thing we grabbed the umbrellas.
Upon arriving at the bus stop, we notice it is filled with tons of people and everyone is cranky and tired. People are complaining because the buses are full, so we decide to take another route. We walk up to El Centro and bell services get us a taxi. Definitely worth the $9 plus tip tonight.
We are happily greeted with a lei and are asked to have a family photo taken. They really get you with this approach. Because of the rain, they have all of us wait inside the Polynesian hallway until it is time for us to go out to the Luau Cove. I sure am glad I showered again, as we are packed in there like sardines. Finally it's time to go out and the rain is starting to let up. We are seated rather quickly and our server Candy is already getting drink orders. Yep, get me one of those Pina Coladas PLEASE!
We have great seat, basically right in the center and only two small tables in front of us. We start off with the pineapple coconut bread, fresh pineapple, and salad. While we enjoy this, the first part of the show starts. So far everything is great and we are really enjoying it. Next, we are served the Main course of BBQ Ribs, Chicken, rice and steamed veggies. Nicholas orders Mac and Cheese instead and is very happy with that. We all think the food is very good and once again enjoy this our meal. During this break in the show the guy at the next table proposes to his girlfriend. She says "Yes" and the ring is huge! Time for the second part of the show.
During the next break the dessert is served. Our server teases the boys that its Jello before she brings out the volcano cake. Terry and Zach really like it, but it is a little to sweet and rich for Nick and I. The final part of the show is incredible. I must say the gentleman who does the fire dance is awesome. All of the dancers are excellent and it is a cute show. We purchase the family photo that is taken and I have to say it is one of the best family shots we have ever had.
As we leave the Polynesian there are taxi's waiting, again for us, well worth the money. The boys talk Terry into letting them swim one last time at the Dig Site as I pack up our bags for our move over to the Wilderness Lodge tomorrow morning. I will say as much as we LOVE the Wilderness, I'm going to miss being here at Coronado Springs.
Coming tomorrow.... move to the Wilderness Lodge, Epcot, and the Flasher
