The alarms goes off at 7 am and we are slow to get moving this morning. After everyone is showered and dressed we are out the door by 8:30 and all are hungry. As we walk up to our bus stop, the Animal Kingdom bus pulls up, what timing! So far on this trip we seem to be timing things quite well.
Again the park is pretty busy and already very HOT, but we get back to check in and wait roughly 10 minutes. This is our first time to Donald's Breakfastosaurus and our waiter is Neil. In talking with Neil, we quickly sense his Long Island accent, and discover his friends are neighbors of friends of ours in East Rockaway. Small World! Food is great, the characters alot of fun, pictures taken, and its time to move on. We all love this meal and will do it again sometime.
First stop is to catch Tarzan Rocks, and let me tell you....HE DOES!! Wow What a body!! Gasps were heard all around this theater as Tarzan appears, many women fanning themselves. Nicholas decides this is what he wants to do when he is older, he already knows how to rollerblade and likes the idea of living at Disney.
Next stop is TriceraTop Spin, then Primeval Whirl. Primeval is pretty rough and throws us around quite a bit. It made me very nervous, but the kids seemed to enjoy it. I'm very proud of Zachary. He does not like amusement rides, but is very willing this year to at least try them. We have a rule to try something new everyday, and the boys do this and enjoy what they try. Now we head over to get fast passes for It's tough to be a Bug and then head over to the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The boys really enjoy this, but I find it hard to breath back there, seems like there is no air flow. Soon we are at the tree of Life with our fastpasses and as always enjoy this show.
We're finding this park hard to move in (way to many people) and decide to head to Downtown Disney. So we hop a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and barely a 3 minute wait for the bus to Downtown Disney. The boys and I get a laugh watching Terry fall asleep on the bus. First the eyes cross, then they close, next his head is rolling around and he's snoring. Thank goodness we're the only ones on this bus. Our laughter wakes him as we arrive at Market Place and Nicholas announces he's starving. So we head over to Rainforest Cafe, and are surprised we will only have a 10 minute wait for walk up. Perfect, it gives me time to buy lots of bargains! As we are seated, Nick realizes he left his new fanny pack on the bus which has his autograph book that we scrapbooked in it. Terry calls the number on our guest key, they transfer his call to Buses and they take all the info down. Nothing we can do right now, so we order and enjoy the surroundings. Terry and Zach each order a Burger, Nick the kids Hot dog, and myself the Jungle soup. Everything is very good, and it really is a neat place.
While I do some MAJOR damage shopping, Terry calls and finds out they have Nick's fanny pack waiting by the buses. So we decide to catch the bus at Market Place only to find out it is at Pleasure Island. This is when it decides to pour. Terry suggest I take the boys back to our room at Coronado Springs and he'll walk down to get it, not realizing that the our bus is heading there right now. Oh well, it gives him a few minutes of peace and quiet.
Once we are all back at the room, Zach announces he's hungry. Now it's been quite a long time since lunch so we head up to Pepper Market. Besides, it's really storming out, so we can't go swimming, might as well eat. Terry orders the Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry, Nicholas and Zachary split chicken fingers and a bowl of Strawberries, and I order a bowl of vegetable soup. The Pepper Market really does a great job on there stir fry's and we really enjoy them. Back to the room for a little TV and it's Lights Out!
Coming tomorrow...MGM and Prime Time Cafe
