The alarm clock rang very early for us at 4 am. Having gone to bed at 2 am after putting the finishing touches on the packing and housecleaning, I found myself to excited to sleep. Out the door at 5:30 and within minutes we're checking in curbside at the Buffalo/Niagara International Airport. Security was quick and easy with our family full of excitement, on our way to our favorite place. Life does not get much better!
Our original plans were to drive, however when the war broke out airfares came down a little and I was able to book a nonstop early flight with Southwest for a reasonable price. This made our decision very easy because Terry really did not want to spend 2 days driving, so $800 for airfare and everyone is happy. We have a very smooth flight and at 9:40 am our plane has landed. Yes!! We're here!!
We are met at the bottom of the escalator by Ken from Atlantis Limo, our bags are out quickly, and before we know it a beautiful black stretch limo pulls up for us. Zach and Nick are ecstatic, as I catch their father grinning from ear to ear. I sent out an email the day before, so our grocery stop is quick and easy. We pick up some beverages to have in our room...2 (6 pks) 24 oz Pepsi, 2 (6 pks) 24 oz Diet Pepsi, and 2 (6 pks) 24 oz Bottled water totaling $22.40.
This is our first time to Coronado Springs so we are anxious to see it. It is beautiful and I get the feeling we're going to enjoy it here. Our room is not ready yet, so they store our luggage as we catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom.
Once inside, we stop to get our picture taken in front of the castle and then off to make our 12:35 ps at Crystal Palace. We are seated within 5 minutes and enjoy our meal here. This is our first time to Crystal Palace and many pictures are taken with Tigger, Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore. We find the food to be very good and my boys (including Dad) fill up on alot of sugary treats! Oh boy, lucky me.
First ride today is Carousel of Progress. Ter and I love this, but the boys have never seen it because it has always been closed on our previous trips. Zach is excited to see a Niagara Falls fan in the second scene and Nick wants to know how they make the dog look so real. The park is very busy today and extremely HOT. Next is a relaxing ride on the Transit Authority, some shopping, and on to Goofy's Barnstormer. Within minutes we are able to catch a train to Frontierland. We get off just as the Share a Dream Come True Parade starts. What an incredible parade! We make it through the crowd to Pirates of the Caribbean, do some more shopping, and then go to see the Enchanted Tiki Room. By now we are all getting tired, so we head back to Main Street, purchase our picture, and catch a bus back to Coronado Springs.
Our room is ready, so Jack takes us and our luggage to our room in Cabana 8A (Room #8143). Nick, my little charmer, makes friends with Jack and invites him to dinner with us. It was too cute! After the fridge is delivered to our room, we head up to Pepper Market for dinner. Purchased two resort mugs (the boys love these), Nachos for Nick, BBQ Pizza for Terry, and Zach and I split a Tenderloin Teriyaki Special that is absolutely delicious. We really enjoy the Pepper Market and the set up is really perfect for our family, many choices for all of us to chose from.
Back to the room for a quick change into swimsuits and off to the pool. We managed to talk the boys into going into the hot tub first and stalled as long as we can, then about 10 minues in the pool before it pours. Back to the room to unpack, and boy are we exhausted. Those beds look to comfy and I know we will all sleep well tonight.
Coming tomorrow....time at Coronado, Boardwalk and the Illuminations Cruise.
