Gosh,
I just read some bad news. I was reading on WDWIG and the are reporting that PO is going to close for extensive renovations. Starting today no reservations will be taken for PO. The article is somewhat vague in saying that POFQ will close first and not saying for how long or when POR will close. If you have reservations at PO you may want to take a look at this http://wdwig.com/
We were hoping to stay there this summer, POFQ is my boys favorite resort.

hi Gretta,
While the news is not encouraging, I thank you for passing it along by way of helping other folks here. It sure seems that Disney's in an attendance slump again, as they're taking many actions similar to the closings we saw in October and November 2001.
I hope we're able to help you find another resort that your family will enjoy, at a reasonable price. Best of luck to you,
Sandi

Thanks Sandi,
We will be fine, I hadn't even made reservations yet. This may be the perfect oportunity for us to try something new.
I feel so bad for people who have never been to that resort and already have reservations. They were looking forward to it.

Feel badly for the girls at YMJ. I understand these closings are a TA nightmare.
Thanks for the update.

Wow, I wish I had known that before I made ressies at WL!
Usually, Disney offers to upgrade you to the Poly!!! for $99.00 a day!!!
So, for $10.00 more a night you go from PO to Poly! If you don't want to pay, they'll send you to Carribean Beach.
We've wanted to stay at the Poly forever!!

We just had our ressie changed from 4 nights POFQ to 4 nights Beach Club for only $124 a night. We feel like we won the lottery. Thanks to Tagrel's trip reports my wife always has wanted to stay there.

Sully, that's amazing! :)
I've never heard of a rate that low for such a popular deluxe resort. That may rival a Cast Member rate. Congratulations on this 'lottery' win. Beaches and Cream, Stormalong Bay, walking to Epcot, boating to MGM. Oh man, you gotta love it! :D

Wow, Sully! That is the next best thing to winning the lottery. I LOVE Stormalong Bay. Have a wonderful time and you MUST try Beaches and Cream.
