:tink: We saw The Aviator on Christmas day & it's a great movie. Definite Oscar contender for best actor, director & movie. I thought the story of Hughes was shown very well w/o dwelling on the end of his life but focusing on his brilliance in spite of the inner battles with which he was dealing. Fabulous direction in my opinion. I think Leo should get the Oscar, but I also feel there is much more out there for this young man of 30. I don't think we have yet seen his defining role. I think he's done his roles so well & yet I feel there is even more there. I look forward to more of them.

We saw Ray on Thanksgiving day. Can you tell we don't know many people yet? Excellent movie & also an Oscar contender in my book for best actor, director & movie. I highly recommend them both. I do think that this will be Jamie Foxx's defining role of his life. Great role for defining. He captured & owned it! He's had an incredible year & this just might be his year for it all to happen. I wish him well. He has made me laugh...or as he would say, " I'm going to rock your world" from one of his many "In Living Color" characters.

Saw both - Aviator I enjoyed for the costuming set design and to see how well the casting director did his/her job - the movie overall was good.

I missed Ray but recently rented it - about a month ago - OMG - it's a great movie - Loved every minute of it - felt as if I were there - not watching a movie at all - it was that well done and the characters were real. Ten Thousand Thumbs up for Ray!
