I wrote abut my husband having to retire medically (he only 46 years old) and he was approved for Social Security the first try. They dont pay for the first 5 months and its only been 2 but at least we know its coming. At least we didnt have to get a lawyer.
Now if they can find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. I saw something on the news about Gene therapy. I dont know if he could ever be "cured" but maybe at least get remission so no further deteroriation will take place. His body is so fragil now a days.

Great news Barb! That last thing you both needed was the stress of trying to push this through Social Security. Best wishes to Dennis on slowing down, stopping or even reversing this disease.
You will both be in my prayers. AngelPray:

Great News! The best!
We ought to have a Seattle Taginator reunion--with your family's transitions, and my surgery, and SuzyQ's baby on the way, we have lots to celebrate!
Dennis is the first person I've known with MD and he has made me so much more sensitive to many things--I too saw that about gene therapy and thought of him right away. I hope...I hope...I hope!

I am thrilled that you were able to skip the red tape. It is a pain to go through. May this be the start of great things and a happy future for both of you.
