Hi NavyDotz,

We been to HH 4 times. I go again in a NY minute. We don't own at HH but would love to. Lots to do, Beachhouse is the best I've used in the States. You can sit by the pool and snack shop while watching the ocean. Mix drinks are available pool side from the bar. Arcade (small) for those of us to feel the need, some pool toys are around and some beach activities are planned. I like the air condition lounge when it gets to hot. They have sofas and chairs, game tables, TV and a fireplace for cold wheather activities. The place is always spotless. Cleanest restroom/changing rooms I've ever used and very convient to the beach about a 2 minute walk from the pool.

The beach is great. Clean sand, lifeguard stand, rental stand for beach bikes, umbella and chairs are right there. From the beach you can often see dolphins swimming close by.

The resort itself has activities all day and night. We went crabbing from the pier last time and catch about 1 1/2 dozen crabs. Being from Maryland, a crab caught is a crab cooked. We had a Maryland traditional dinner that night, Old Bay Seasoning on our steamed crabs, corn-on-the cob, potato salad, beer for most Marylanders but ice tea for us and a nice loaf of bread w/ butter. Snow cones or ice cream for dessert would finish it off.

Golf, golf, golf - a HH must. Shopping, nature walks, bird watching, biking, kayaking, mini-golf. 100's of restaurants, movies and the list goes on and on.

HH is my 2nd favorite place to visit. If you need more info, I've got plenty. Let me know.

Thanks Twirlergirl!

I have read wonderful reviews of HH, and can't wait to stay there sometime. I've visited HH twice, and really enjoyed the island.

Well, Twirler Girl pretty much said it all. We love HH. Bought an add-on membership after our first visit. The beach is wonderful -- wide, clean, lots of space to sit on the sand and great to walk. The resort is very different from the other resorts. Buildings are set at angles under live oak trees. Hammocks and old fashioned fan-backed wooden chairs everywhere. Across the marina are lots of restaurants that you can walk to over the bridge from the resort which is set on a little island of its own. Live outside entertainment at night at Shelter Cove (over the bridge) and you can hear it from the resort property, too. Fireworks compliments of Disney one night a week in the summer. Many good restaurants in town. You have to either take the resort bus or your car to the beach, but it's only about a five minute drive through beautiful scenery. As Twirler Girl said, there are many activities from boat rides to cooking classes to nature walks. Many activities for kids of all ages, too. You will love it!

HHI is wonderful. After 6 trips there with DVC(4 at the holidays and once in April and once in July) we bought add-on thru resale in October. Can't say enough about the resort and it has something for every season. We love x-mas and New Year's with tons to do for kids and adults. Resort is beautiful and CM are great. The beach is wonderful for walking or swimming as is the beach house and pool(s). Although in the summer the feature pool can be downright bathwater! The cast members often dump a huge bucket of ice in to cool it off! Lot's of great restaurants and shopping all around. We are not returning this holiday season because we decided to go back to WDW for New Years. I'm planning a return in the summer of 2004.
