When I go back to the airport to return my car rental which exit should I take to fill the tank up?

(1) You should be okay if you fill up at WDW and the gas prices at Hess on-property are generally $0.30 cheaper than gas prices on SR-535.

(2) If you prefer to go somewhere near the airport, take 417 (Central Florida Greenway) and exit just as you would for the airport. EXCEPT, at the end of the exit ramp, turn RIGHT onto Boggy Creek Road. Continue about 1-2 miles and you will find a Circle K gas station on your right. Prices here are usually among the cheapest around. To go back to the airport, just head back from whence you came continuing past 417 and then following the signs to the terminals.

I still get confused with the Florida turnpikes, greenways and highways! :lol:

If you're anything like me - I just stick with Pam's #1 - filling up onsite. ;)

We usually go to the Race Trac on 192 before heading back to MCO. When we were at WDW in August the on property Hess stations were about the same price.
