argh tagrel please help!!!

hi tagrel, i am sorta new, and not quite understanding why sometimes when i visit the "new posts since last visit" doesnt always come up? do there have to be a minimum number of new posts or something? i love the site, i am so glad i found everyone after i left magic alley. but i couldnt figure this one out? also i leave july 19th sat at 7am and i am not sure how to get my trip counter to come up with my posts, thanks so much in advance, and for giving us a place to reside. it makes me feel good to know i am not alone in my disney obsession...this is my 8th trip in 10 years, this is my 26th bday trip (july 22) and i was just there in dec 2002, and may 2002 thanks again

Hi mena!

When you post as "guest" you are not logged in. A good way to tell if you are logged in when you come to the site is to look up at the tool bar at the top of the page. Look at the second row down from Abbreviations. If it says "Log In" you are not logged in. Click on that button, enter your user name and password.

This site enables 'guests' to post in the various forums. That's why you can open up a new topic or a reply even when you aren't logged in with your membership name. If you try to use your real membership name at that time, without logging in first, you will get a message that the name is already taken.

Also, when you aren't logged in the new topics 'light' does not come on next to the forums where fresh topics have been posted since your last visit. As soon as you log in, the yellow colors light up everywhere so you know where you can start reading.

Tag can help you with that countdown clock. Send the message you want in the signature like "Mena will see the Castle in - " and also include your date and time of departure. Send it to tagrel@tagrel.com or send him a private message with the info. Hope your trip is coming up soon! :)

Hi Mena,

I'm assuming that you are using the AOL browser. LOTS of people have this login problem with AOL. You can just use Internet Explorer and it should clear up a LOT of your problems. Also, the AOL Browser will not work in the chat rooms.

If you have to use the AOL browser, try rebooting. This typically clears up the 'already logged in' problem.

As Moley pointed out, you can see if you are logged in by checking at the top of the screen. Login if you are not already.

The only way that the system can tell you what is new since your last visit, is if it knows who you are. Once you leave the site and come back, its a new visit, so the only new items since that last will be highlighted (whether you read them or not)

On the bright side, your trip is coming up fast! (Mine too!) I've added the countdown timer to your signature. Just make sure that attach signature is checked when you post. Again - you will have to be logged in correctly for this to work.
