TempurPedic mattress or any other foam...opinions

OK. I'm in the market for a new mattress. DH and I need different types so I'm thinking of a foam mattress.. :? either the TempurPedic or a genertic one. I'd appreciate any advice of anyone has tried these.

I need to look for a new one too, so I'm interested to see what folks say.

I've also been looking at those 'toppers' that go over the mattress. Down doesn't tempt me, but I've been watching for a sale on the foam ones.

Costco had a memory foam topper that I thought about getting. I've had a feather bed and a poly bed and they get lumpy no matter how much you fluff them up.
