got BCV for January!

I procrastinated and didn't try to make my home resort (BWV) ressies for next year's marathon until last month - no 2 BR available so I went on a wait list until the 7 month window opened for other resorts. This morning (yep - procrastinated again, but only by a few days) I called and, much to my surprise, got a 2 BR at the BCV! I am really excited about trying this resort!

This is encouraging to me to hear that you got what you wanted at another resort at the 7 month window. When we rented our points at BCV it was at the 7 month window too.

I will be running (well, speed waddling) the half marathon, as will my son, his GF and one of their friends.

Speed waddling, lol. At least you will be waddling with speed! Some of us just waddle....

I'm glad you had good luck with accomodations-I still am too cheap to use my points for the weekend nights, hoping for some incredible good rate at AKL.
