Morning BABES

First of all, I am sending prayers and dust to all of you who may be in the path of Ivan. I hope you all stay warm and dry and safe and calm. I am thankful this morning that my son in Louisiana seems to have missed the storm. I haven't spoken to him yet (it's early there) but from what the Weather Channel is saying, it missed his part of Lousiana. I will be posting today to see who has checked in from the Alabama area and then will watch the coverage of the storm continuing on it's way east and north.

It's still dark out here and the construction crews have arrived. They are coming earlier and earlier. While we were having our little "adventure" in Massachusetts with the car, two new neighbors moved in even though their homes are not finished. I just met one man walking his two HUGE dogs (one is 99% Newfoundland and one looks like a cross between a black lab and weimeraner). Anyhow, the big dog kept attacking the smaller one as the man spoke to me and he mentioned both dogs were rescued from bad homes. He had no control over them either. The big one came up to me and was friendly but bit the smaller dog when he tried to come over to me. Don't think I'll be running out to greet those dogs too often in the future. (Cross them off the list of getting free biscuits when we feed the cockapoos each night on their walk). Man across the street from me walked his cocker spaniel right along our property line last night. It seems we are the designated "animal" area of the community. Hope they remember their "pooper scoopers"!!!

Anyhow, going to try and get that water in and possibly get back to the gym. I have to get walking more with the DW trip coming up. I see doc next month (Rheumatologist) and will go over what meds I CAN take to ease the pain. Maybe I'll just do the treadmill at the gym and a few of the bikes to start.

Hoping you all have a good day and can keep up your routines. Those of you near Ivan (and the next one coming), continued prayers and dust coming your way.

Good morning all you woderful Healthinators!!

I, too, am worried about those having to deal with the rath of yet another hurricane. I pray that you are all safe.

Well, it's offficial...I am on vacation!! Today is going to be a very busy day getting all my last minute preparations in order. I am really getting excited. I keep looking at my one suitcase and at the pile of clothes and thinking just what can I do without. The answer is nothing, so I will have quite a job getting everything in that suitcase, but taking 2 is not an option! Also have to get Roxy bathed and ready to go to the sitters, and of course get the house cleaned up. Well, one way or another I will get everything done.

Lots of goals for today
Curves - getting ready to head there now
Water - need to get going on this
Eat smart
Get my make-up/toiletry bag packed.
Scrounge through Ali's jewelry box for some pieces to borrow
Get a little cleaning done
Try to get a walk in today - did get one in yesterday
Get hair cut and eyebrows waxed

I better get a move on!! Have a wonderful day!

Wishing everyone a safe harbor from the Ivan. Claire, it sounds like you'll need a sign for your doggie walkers to remind them to bring their scoops? :jester:

Good Morning everyone!! :theWave:

It's another beautiful sunny day here, and also my 15th wedding anniversary. Since tonight is football practice, Ter is picking up dinner from The Outback, we'll eat and then head over to the field for the night. Not exactly romantic, but I would not have it any other way. Actually this is exactly what I had dreamed about (family time) 15 years ago when it all started. And I also know how fortunate I am, I feel blessed.

Todays goals:
drink more water besides the 72 ounces already down
possibly walk

Thinking of Esmerelda, and wishing she was here.

Have a safe day everyone! :circle:

:tink: Bookwood, how did the drivers test go?

cshore, have a great time. Just cram that suitcase!

Claire, maybe you should leave a doggie baggy dispenser at the corner of your lot for the people to pick up their loved ones deposits. We have three dogs & we pick up every tiny little drop that comes out of them. We cannot stand to see other droppings out there as it's simply inconsiderate & people that aren't responsible w/their pets shouldn't have them. We used to clean up all the droppings when we first moved in so nobody would think it was our little munchkins. Your neighbor w/the two "second hand dogs" as they are called by professionals shouldn't let the bigger dog pick on the smaller dog. Seoond hand dogs always have the fear that they'll be stranded or left again. I've had a couple & it's true. They need extra special attention. I love all dogs.

PD & :fairymagic: prayers :fairylove: to all those in Ivan's path...they're showing the damage on the news. Awful.

Happy anniversary Sheryl & Terry! Many more!

Sandi, no rest for you today. I can't believe your energy.

Did my Ab Machine before work. Have all my water in & still drinking. It's my favorite drink so I'm lucky. Got my powerwalk in during lunch again today. I didn't want to do it but once I got started I was ok & it goes really fast. I work up a sweat. Did great w/my eating today. I do have to buy a measuring tape though to check on my progress. :tink:
