Morning BABES
First of all, I am sending prayers and dust to all of you who may be in the path of Ivan. I hope you all stay warm and dry and safe and calm. I am thankful this morning that my son in Louisiana seems to have missed the storm. I haven't spoken to him yet (it's early there) but from what the Weather Channel is saying, it missed his part of Lousiana. I will be posting today to see who has checked in from the Alabama area and then will watch the coverage of the storm continuing on it's way east and north.
It's still dark out here and the construction crews have arrived. They are coming earlier and earlier. While we were having our little "adventure" in Massachusetts with the car, two new neighbors moved in even though their homes are not finished. I just met one man walking his two HUGE dogs (one is 99% Newfoundland and one looks like a cross between a black lab and weimeraner). Anyhow, the big dog kept attacking the smaller one as the man spoke to me and he mentioned both dogs were rescued from bad homes. He had no control over them either. The big one came up to me and was friendly but bit the smaller dog when he tried to come over to me. Don't think I'll be running out to greet those dogs too often in the future. (Cross them off the list of getting free biscuits when we feed the cockapoos each night on their walk). Man across the street from me walked his cocker spaniel right along our property line last night. It seems we are the designated "animal" area of the community. Hope they remember their "pooper scoopers"!!!
Anyhow, going to try and get that water in and possibly get back to the gym. I have to get walking more with the DW trip coming up. I see doc next month (Rheumatologist) and will go over what meds I CAN take to ease the pain. Maybe I'll just do the treadmill at the gym and a few of the bikes to start.
Hoping you all have a good day and can keep up your routines. Those of you near Ivan (and the next one coming), continued prayers and dust coming your way.
