Place in the area to Rollerblade

Do any of you locals know of a nice area to rollerblade. A park or something. I know there must be parks around there that you can do this, but I just don't know where.

Names and location would be helpful. Thanks.

central florida is blessed with many "rails to trails" linear parks where you can bike, or blade or walk or run. Go to railstrails.org and use their trail finder to locate a trail to suit your (Val's) needs.

:oops: having touted the wonderful central florida rails to trails parks, I just checked myself, and none of those allowing in-line skating are really close to WDW - there is one up in Clermont, but nothing much closer.

Thanks anyway Roodad - not for me or Val, but some other soon to be new CP CM. I figured someone here must know some places even if they don't actually rollerblade.

What about one of the resorts.. I have seen them roller blade on the path around POR. Looked like fun to me but since I couldn't even make it around Sports Authority, I passed on buying them LOL.. Sharon

Florida Law does not permit in-line skating on roadways or parking lots. In-line skating and skateboards are allowed on the exercise trails only. Please see a Resort Recreation CM for information concerning skateboards and scooters, as well as appropriate locations. This taken from last weeks Fort Widerness Gazette.

There is a park in Dr. Philips that is much closer than Clermont. Go down Hotel Plaza Blvd to 535. turn left- immediately get in the right lane as you will then make your first right onto Palm Parkway. Take this all the way to Sand Lake and turn left. About 1 mile up, make a right on Dr Philips Blvd. There are parks all around this area. There is also Turkey Lake Park which is off of Hiawassee near Conroy Rd.
