So I receive notification via email on Saturday that I've got a Private Message waiting for me. So I hop over here and guess what? No message!

I guess it was a ghostly message.

Mike, I've had that happen before. My understanding is that the person that sent it can delete it before you've picked it up. You still may get the notification though.

Although, I think there still my ghostswriters here, :yikes: but I can't seem to get anybody to buy that one. :blink:

Mike, this happens when someone sends you a PM and then deletes it before you come over and open it. Maybe it was a question they found an answer to before you saw it.

When you send a Private Message, it goes into the sender's Outbox before it is picked up. An email is sent out once the posting is made to the recipient. When the recipient opens the pm, it goes from the sender's outbox to their sent box. After that, they can no longer edit it or delete it. Before you pick it up, the sender can go back and edit it or delete it.

This might be a good reminder to all of you who send pm's. Your recipient will always know they got one, but not from whom. If you change your mind about asking a question, just go back in and edit it instead of deleting it. That way the recipient won't have cause for concern or be driven crazy with curiousity.

Yeah...it was sorta like WDW saying, "Yes we are having an e-ride night" and then on the day you go to buy tickets you get, "Sorry! E-ride night? No no!"
