Does anyone know what it costs to take the toll road? Do you need exact change?

There are lanes for exact change and others for receipts and change. I don't know the exact cost. It depends on which route you pick - the southern airport exit is less busy roads, but a slightly higher toll cost. 528 to I4 was about $1.50... I think we stopped twice at 75 cents each time. The southern route was around twice that if I remember right.

Less than two days left!!! woooo hhooooooo!!!!!

Thanks and I think my mind is already on vacation. I am paked except the medicines that need to wait until last minute. Its a real bummer because I have to work tomorrow. I think if I gather a bunch of quarter I may be ok. I went to a map program on MSN so Im not sure what way its taking us but it mentioned toll road (NO price) We are staying the first two nights at Sleep inn near Sea World. Then we move over to Shades of Green on Monday the 9th.

If you have $2.50 in quarters, you should be fine. They can change those tolls overnight, so it is better to have a few extra. Almost all roads from the airport are tolls.

Tolls on 417 (South exit from MCO to WDW):
2 toll plazas for $1 each if getting off at exit 6. Add another toll of $0.25 or $0.50 if going to exit 3. The toll plaza at exit 3 is usually unmanned, so exact change is needed for that one. Also, if you are stopping at the Albertsons or Target on Orange Blossom Trail, you will also have tolls of $0.25 on those exit ramps, and should have exact change for them.

Tolls on 528 (North exit from MCO to WDW):
2 toll plazas for $0.75 each. There are exact change lanes and full service lanes. Because there are a lot of tourists who don't know how to pay an exact change toll, I recommend avoiding the exact change lanes. They're always very slow and/or go into the exact change lane only to figure out they don't have exact change. Frustrating for us locals, LOL. However, it still can speed your trip if you have exact change, even when using the full service lanes.
