Now this is one I am qualified to ask:
Why is it called Alcoholics Anonomous when the first thing you do is stand up and say "Hi, my name is Ron and I'm a alcoholic????"

Good Morning Heathinators!
Another day of stripping for me (I don't like to do 2 days in a row if I can help it but the front door has to be finished so it can be hung back up!!!) Inside of door looks pretty good- but was a lot of work 8 recessed panels ofdifferent depths, outside will get done but I may leave the deep motes around the recessed parts not so well done and paint them porch color to dave time and my poor hand.
Goals for today:
finish door andhang it back up
run
eat smart
water-doing really bad recently
clean up living room so it doesn't look so much like a work in progress
Maybe Curves depending on how early I finish door!

Hi BABES:
I was going to post at 4:30 a.m. when I got up but didn't have the energy to walk down the stairs to the computer so I've just gotten down here.
Gloomy, rainy outside and we might even be able to turn off the a/c for the first time in months.
Tinkerbell: You should call me when you're up. At least I'd have someone to talk to.
Cheri: You too are up waaaay too early. Hope you got back to sleep. I was just getting up for the day when you were going back in.
Pam: Take a break on that staining. I'd paint the outside too if I was you.
Are your hands the same color of the stain now?
Morning Ronski. Nice to hear from you again. Some of your questions remind me of George Carlin (minus the "nasty" stuff).
Well, got to gym yesterday and that was it Went to see the next to last play at summer theater near us last night. The play was excellent, "Crimes of the Heart". The most exciting thing during the end of the play was the three bats flying around our heads - VERY close to our heads during the final scene. We were sinking lower and lower in our chair as they got closer. I've been wondering when that would happen. The theater is in the middle of Caledonia State Forest and they open the doors to let us out for intermission and leave them open. My DH never believed me when I told him we had bats around even though one flew near his ear on a walk at night last year. You would think he'd listen to me by now - I'm always right!
Anyhow, most of the audience was trying to be polite to the actors but it was starting to get nerve racking. Thank goodness the play ended shortly thereafter and everyone bolted out the door. (more exercise for me!!).
Got water in yesterday but never enough. (If anyone wants me to send them a really funny email about what too much water can do, just email me).
Have a great day all. I have my last night of Vacation Bible School so I'll get some rest now. DH has a birthday on Monday and I'm trying to come up with a surprise day for him. He won't know where we're going. I have notes printed out to leave for him telling him what to do and where to find the next note that should take us from here to lunch and then for dessert and then to the outlets for him to pick out a gift and then to the movies and then home where I hope to have a few neighbors in for cake - still working on it. You would think that after all this while he would figure out something similar for one of my birthdays!
Later dudettes (and DUDE)

Good morning everyone! Good question, Ron. I've wondered about that, too. One of the more persistent ironies.
Still no air conditioning so I'm going to be scarce. Everyone have a wonderful and healthy day!

Goooood Morning!
Well, I have a day off. No children, no DH and no other relatives. What, oh what will I do with myself? I bet I can find something.
I have had two wonderful days of visiting with my sister and neice. I actually went swimming on Tuesday with the family. It was great fun. Yesterday was busy as well. After taking care of some busines in the morning, we took our neice to lunch at one of her favorite places "DQ". Afterwards my dad and step mom stop by so they could visit with our neice too. We finished the day by taking her to a "Paint Your Own Pottery" shop. We both enjoyed that. Now I'm all alone and enjoying the quiet.
Back to reality and Goals:
Drink 64 oz of water.
Eat healthy on SBD
Enjoy my day off.
Have a magical day!

Hi all! I'm home eating my Kashi cereal for lunch. We've got company coming in tonight, so I might have to eat out for supper. Figure I better bank calories just in case.
Hopped on the scale this morning. It was 3 pounds higher than I was on Sunday. I am hoping that it is water. Still, I need to be very good for a while. Haven't been able to exercise in 2 days. HAVE to fix that.
Hope you are all having a fabulous day!

Good Afternoon!
I was off last night so Ali and I slept in today. What a luxury. Went shopping yesterday and spent way more that we intended. Just couldn't resist a pair of Mickey and Minnie PJ's for each of us for our upcoming trip. Plus a whole shopping bag full of assorted "must haves". Bough a Brita water pitche which is making the water drinking a whole lot easier. Thought since Sheryl might not be close to a shopping mall that I would do some shopping in her honor. She would be real proud. Then we went into a camera shop to just look at the cameras. I was looking to buy a digital for my upcoming Alaska cruise and wanted one with the most zoom. I ended up buying that too. We will have to show up at my moms at dinner time for the next week.
Yesterday was a very good day. I met all my goals and look forward to a good day today too. So far so good.
Tinkerbell, thanks for starting us off. Hope the new job is going well.
Cheri, oooh, don't you just hate when you wake up too early, then you don't feel like getting back up when it is time. Hope your day at work zips by.
Ronski, I am pondering your lastest qustion and guess that you could always lie about a first name and say like "my name is Minnie".
Pam, I hope the weather is cooler for you today. If you have to work so hard it might as well be a comfortable temperature. I even turned off the AC today here.
Claire, isn't it too bad that some husbands were born without the "creative birthday suprise" gene. I was lucky to ever get a card. Have fun planning his special day. I personally am having a birthday bash year. So far there was the Disney Cruise, a week spent being a beach bum in a luxury oceanfront condo, a June trip to WDW, our upcoming August trip to WDW, a September Alaska cruise, upcoming Mousefest in December and finally the 1/2 marathon at WDW in January. Suddenly I dodn't care at all about being classified as an antique!
Moley, you poor dear! I am so cold here today. I would love to be sitting by the pool with the "drink of the day", a nice cold glass of water. But instead I will don my jeans and a t shirt and clean something. Hope your AC gets fixed soon! I also hope some of that heat is headed in a north-easterly direction!
Sandy, WOW a whole day to yourself! I hope you are enjoying every precious minute of it. I happened across the packet of pictures from last December the other day and enjoed the memories of LTT and MVMCP. Thanks for those wonderful memories. Tell Dave I said hi.
Amy, scales can drive you bonkers. They can change every time you hop on. Don't take the darn things too seriously. You are on track and that is what counts!
I send you all a great big smile today! :D
Goals for today
Curves - done!
Water - done! but I will be drinking more
Clean something
Smile!!!

Well, I had two pieces of rye bread w/"I can't believe it's not butter" on it. It tastes like butter to me. Lunch was a simple banana. Wasn't even hungry. Got all my water in at work. DH & I ate at the local Japanese Restaurant. I love those white noodle things that are in the produce department...does anyone know whatever the Japanese sauce/flavoring (it's clear), is? I'd love to make a meal out of that alone!
I think that everyone is doing great! One day at a time. :D
Keep it up girls! And ronski, keep 'em coming!
