Can you dine there in shorts ie after coming from a day touring the park, or is it a long pants/jacket sort of place?

Hi SusanP!

I didn't find the answer to your question but here is a link to some reviews --- sounds like a great place

Hi Susan

I've been to Napa Rose a few times and have seen all kinds of dress, from jeans and shorts to nice dresses and suits.

If you are eating earlier, khaki or linen shorts would be fine IMHO, but if your reservation is a bit later, I'd dress it up a bit.

I'm a dockers and sweater set kinda gal and I've never felt uncomfortable there.

We were there in October 2001, and it was lovely! It seemed to me that most folks there were more 'dressed'.

If you scroll about half way down this page of pictures from our trip, we have the Napa Rose, and you can get a feel for the ambiance

Thanks for the help, I knew I could count on you!
I'm not sure I can catch him before he goes, he has a half day to fill on Monday before business on Tuesday begins, so he convinced another guy to go with him. The park is open until 8 so I'm sure they will try and pack in as much as the can in the seven hours they have. DH will be in "dress shorts" and a nice golf shirt so maybe he will be OK. I figure they would go after park closing, if at all, and he was going to call and make sure it wasn't packed, hopefully he will ask about dress as well.
And boy, if he saw your pictures Ahnalira, he would be in like flint!
