We are up early today to the sound of Mickey on the Speakerphone & head downstairs to have a nice breakfast at The Mara Food Court ($11.11). Now it is off to Epcot once more. Epcot seems to be where we spend most of our time & today Matt wanted to ride Test Track a few times. Luck was with us on this trip as the waits for most rides were almost non-existent. Funny thing about some of the posted ride times was that they were not even close. We got Fast Passes for Test Track (we usually do Single Rider) & decided today to go ahead & bite the bullet & wait the 30 minutes for Standby so we could ride together. We were on the ride within 5 minutes – there was absolutely no one in line. We ended up riding Test Track 3 times within about 40 minutes. As Alicia noted in her trip report we also got a nice little surprise when we looked at our Fast Pass ticket – there was a Surprise Fast Pass for the Maelstrom. Unfortunately we did not get to use, as we wanted to focus on Future World today. We enjoyed seeing Cranium Command again – a hidden jewel, The Land, Food Rocks (one of my favorites) & The Living Seas. I will say the Living Seas needs a bit of updating especially since they took the ride away but today was especially fun for us. We happened to be there during the morning Fish Feeding & it was fun to watch. The Sting Rays & very large fish are fed first & the other fish know when it is their time to be fed. The diver swims right in front of the window while feeding the fish so guests can get a good view. It is so funny to watch these fish absolutely in a frenzy when it is their feeding time. There are so many fish around the diver that you cannot see them clearly. We also enjoyed Spaceship Earth, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Journey into your Imagination & Ice Station Cool before heading back to the Mexico Pavilion for lunch. We opted for the fast food stand & shared a combo meal & then of course had to have Chocolate Cake from Norway – the best! Matt also took me to the China Pavilion where he showed me the Chinese Swords. He ended up buying a smaller sword here in the same color scheme as his sword from the Japan Pavilion. Of course once more it had to be shipped home – sure would not want anybody walking around Disney with a sword sharp or not.
We then headed back to the Resort so that I could swim for a bit before dinner. For some reason Matt wanted to go back to Downtown Disney again so off we went. We had dinner at WolfGang Puck Express ($16.89) & then split up to do a bit of shopping before we had to leave to take Matt to meet EJ4Disney’s (Ellen) son Matthew at the Contemporary. The boys were going to do E-Night together. Matt ended up with a couple of bags from Downtown Disney & would not tell me what was in the bags so I figure they must be my Christmas presents. Nice kid, huh? We head off to The Contemporary & thankfully I have Ellen’s name because sometimes the guards at The Contemporary can be tough letting people in. Tonight was no problem getting in & since I knew it would be late getting Matt from E-Night decided to Valet. Boy if I only knew then how late our night would be. Matt & I headed upstairs to Ellen’s room a bit early & found that there was no one in the room yet. We were kind of hanging around the area when who do we see but the cutest young man – Matthew. It was so neat when the guys saw each other. They looked liked they wanted to hug but instead stopped & did that funky hand stuff where you kind of hit each other with your fists 8) . Matt & Matthew have become good friends over the years & last year if some of you remember Ellen invited my Matt to Nebraska for a week. He still talks about that trip & what a great time he had. How could he not – he was with Ellen’s wonderful family! We waited in the room for a bit & I had planned on maybe hitting Epcot to hear Gary Puckett & to buy Matt a stand for his swords but that did not happen. A few minutes later the door opened & in walked my buddy Ellen, her sweet hubby Doug & her wonderful Mother. Oh gosh it was so good to see them. :D The boys headed for E-Night & we gabbed for the longest time. Soon the phone rang & it was Rosie! She and her sisters were at Citroco’s & wanted to go to Illuminations. Doug & Ellen’s Mom opted to stay in the room to wait for the boys while Ellen & I went downstairs to wait for Rosie. Now let me tell you, driving to Epcot with Rosie is a treat – we were worried we would not make it in time as we were still waiting at the Contemporary at 845pm. Not to worry Rosie & her 2 wonderful sisters & cute nephew pulled up & Rosie whisked us away to Epcot. Wow we were walking into Epcot at 901pm & headed back to see Illuminations. It was great to see Illuminations especially with such wonderful company. :circle:
After Illuminations Rosie dropped her sisters off at the Grand Floridian to pick up their car & we headed back to The Contempory to meet up with Cruey, hubby Mike & son Michael in the Food Court. How great to see Cru & family again. Rosie & Cru even had gifts for all of us – thank you so much guys! I am telling you we all yakked & yakked until well after midnight :talking: . Finally we knew we needed to get to bed & knew that we would be seeing each other again the next night. Matt & I finally get back to AKL & into bed by 130am.

Tomorrow MGM, dinner with friends & Spectromagic

Great report -- and you really should have known time flies twice as fast when you are talking with that crew!

How fun!

More, please
