:tink: Boy, it's been a tough week with all the job interviews and pressure and...insomnia again w/the restless leg syndrome. I usually had been taking 100mg of aspirin every night at bedtime since I arrived her in late April secondary to pain resemlbing a blood clot in my left calf. I didn't take it on Wednesday night & no night wake-up call w/pain. So, didn't take any again last night & tonight, here I am. DANG! I think that it might be the migraine medicine I've been slamming my system w/since getting home yesterday... :hppmad: Ill check when I can stand to have the light on.

Goal for today:

Drink my fluids. :D

Eat smart, that'll be alot easier than my unprepared yesterday. :D

Go for a walk at the Burbank Mall. :walk: Actually I'll be by myself as DH is getting uniforms & such. Wish I could do more than window shop!

:waving: Have a nice day everyone & a nice weekend to those that will retrun on Monday. :tink:

Tinkerbell, I hope you can get some quality rest this weekend.

Lots of storms here this morning. My goal for today is to get more water in and to sit down on the Bowflex and maybe touch it. We haven't made friends yet.

Have a great Friday and weekend ahead, everyone!

YAY!!! Finally Friday and my weekend off. Sure hope i get a shot of motivation and can accomplish more than just paying bills.

Tinkerbell, I wouldn't blame you if you just pulled the covers over your head and hibernated. You have had one really tough week. Enjoy the weekend.

Moley, you can do it. Just sit on that nice little bench. That's it. Plenty of time to learn the exercises tomorrow. We are all about doing things gently and with baby steps around here.

Ali went to Curves yesterday and today will drag me kicking and screaming with her. She came home all excited and enthused. Gee how can I get out of this!!!!

Goals for today
eat healthy
drink water, YUCK
become a Curves girl like Cheri and Bookwood and Ali

Goooood Morning!

I'm tired from lack of sleep and not felling very well today. I'm starting to wonder what's going on since so many of us are having sleeping problems lately.

I had a great day yesterday just doing what I'm suppose to. The DGK's were pretty well behaved yesterday, good thing since I was lacking sleep and felt rather dull. I got all my water in and stayed to my food plan. No kidlets today. DS is off due to a knee injury.
I have a ton of things to do around here, floors to wax, bathroom to paint, floors to clean ....

Tinkerbell, I hope you have a restfull, happy day with only good news coming your way.
Moley, you are doing great. Baby steps are fine. I can't wait to here how things went for you today.
Chris, have a great weekend. I can't wait to hear about your next trip. Maybe someday we can meet again.

Have a magical day!

Sandy

Good Morning Healthinators!

I have to motivate to do something today- anything- but I jsut feel a little blah- I think my morning run took it all out of me (time was pretty good- but the last mile it rained on me which could be the reason)

Tinkerbell- good luck with the covers- I never have much luck napping during the daytime! and congrats again to both you and DH on the jobs!!

Twirlergirl- wash, wax floors??? you mean you have to do more than walk on them??? oh oooo- guess that's one more thing to add to the list. Try to get some rest today!!

Cshore- the nice thing about Curves is they usually do a one week (sometimes a month) free so you can tell whether you will actually keep it up before you have to start paying! I hope you like it!

Everyone else have a magical weekend and keep on track!!!

Moley- have you tried talking to the machine yet?? Maybe it is just shy!! Once you sit down on the nice bench tell it how much you like having it in your house... maybe it will start feeling more like it belongs and show you how to use it!???

Good morning all! :theWave:

Was able to sleep in this morning, my treat to myself  , and have an afternoon of things planned.

Tinkerbell, Things will all come around and work out and before you know it you'll be shopping again. No paycheck here for a few more weeks, so I know how you feel. :letsgo:

Moley, What if you post a picture of tarzan on Mr. Bowflex, would that help? I just may need to mail you my Tarzan doll.

Chris, You'll like Curves. :treadmill: With you all doing it and the boys being a little older, I may need to check into it again.

Sandy, I'll admit, I've never waxed a floor in this house, but my Mom waxes her floors regularly. Don't do too much today, and get some rest if you ahve a chance. :flowers:

Pam, Same goes for you, rest up some, and don't push yourself if you are not up to it. :sun: You are always on the go, but you made need a rest.

Todays goals:
drink water
make smart choices
and see what else I can manage

Have a great weekend everyone. :circle:

Sounds like a rough day for everybody. Glad it is the weekend soon enough.

I am stopping at home to feed the baby. Then off to a lunch with my crew at work -- someone is leaving. I am starving, and I know I won't be as good as I should be. Oh well, can't be perfect every day.

Got on the scales this morning. 126.7. That's a big difference from the 165 I was at Easter. Someone told me today that I was going to fade away. It is nice to have it noticed. Looks like I'll probably get to my goal of 125 by my anniversary (August 13).

Hope the day improves for each and every one of you. Enjoy the day.

Oh, Moley, DH put a computer by my exercise bicycle so that I can log onto one of my Disney sites and read while exercising. Maybe you could put something equally addictive on the Bowflex. I know, an ice cream vending machine. No, that's not good, is it ;-)

Well I did it. All signed and sealed. I am a Curves girl. I actually did my first workout too. Several factors here that could hinder my success. First, getting on and off the machines. Very awkward for me and it got worse the more fatigued I got. Second is remembering what to do once I got on them correctly. Then it was time to switch. This slow uncoordinated learner (SUL) still is sweating up a storm and felt like she got a good work out. Right now I don't want to eat anything that will negate anything positive that I did in that 1/2 hour. Ali was right there beside me and we are going to look much better by the time we hit Disney in 3 weeks. I am NOT going to buy bigger shorts. I am hoping to be able to wear the biggest pair that I own, that right now don't fit. I haven't felt like this since sometime in early December. WOW!! I feel like I am back. I hope the feeling lasts once the oxygen returns to my brain.

Hi BABES:

Slow moving here today. Got to sleep after 11:30 and up with restless legs at 3:30 a.m. for the day. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't so I moved into den and put TV on. I finally fell asleep about 7:30 a.m. and athe phone rang at 8:15. Thought DH would get it in bedroom as I wasn't near the phone but he didn't. Had to get up and find out who called. A neighbor called to tell me a man on Channel 29 was being interviewed and he thought I'd want to watch it. The man has hundreds of Disney tatoos all over his body. Apparently he was married six times and each time he honeymoons at DW and each time he gets another tatoo. He looked gross. Had all 101 Dalmations on his back, several DW rides and tons of characters.

Anyhow, dragged myself up and remembered we were playing miniature golf today (5 of us) and I promised to drive so I couldn't get out of it. The weather was really hot and the course was new and very pretty but there were no trees big enough to provide shade. Ladies were cheating (hitting the ball 7 or 8 times and saying they got a 4 or 5. Some pushed the ball all the way to the hole with their club (BAAAAD woman!!!). Then they couldn't decide where to eat and it was almost 1:30 - waaay too late for me to eat as I was feeling a little woozy. They finally decided where and then we had to wait for them to decide WHAT to eat - oye veh!!!

Just got hme at 3:50 pm. and have to start dinner for DH. I ate light and we sweated off at least 50 lbs. walking around the course in the sun - 18 holes (I wish!).

Anyhow, have to get the water in as I only took one bottle with me and had two glasses of iced tea at the restaurant.

Tired now and hope to get in early tonight!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

ROFL@ the lot of you! From Sheryl's Mr. Bowflex, Amy's ice cream vending machine on it, the Tarzan doll and Bookwood's saying it is shy!

Ali and cshore, how cool that you are Curves girls!

Twirler Girl and Cindeclaire, hope you get some needed rest this weekend. You, too, Tinkerbell.

I haven't approached Mr. Bowflex yet, but I did smile and wink at him. Soon, baby, yeah you, this body will be all yours. Is that a lat bar or are you just happy to hear the news?

See you on the light side, Healthibabes! :sun:

Uh oh, back to school supplies, the biggest budget robber since sending your hubby to the grocery store with no list.

Have a good weekend, Cheri, even though you have to work. Hope your weekend is stress free and you get some rest in between shifts.

I always loved shopping for school supplies- I made it a game between me and the stores- who would make the most money!!! (here we have lots of good sales on school supplies- notebooks for 10 cents filler paper for 19 cents ect). Now with only2 in school (one HS one College) all I really need is computer paper and the big honkin' 5 subject notebooks- boring. So much ofr all the fun markers, ereasers, crayons ect! :(
