Oh my what is that noise at 630a in the morning? It can’t be my Mickey calling to wake me up can it? Yes once more I put the phone on Speaker so Mickey can get us up to have more fun. We again manage to make it to the bus stop by 730am or so to make it to Animal Kingdom. As we are walking into the Park I spy Wes Palm the talking Palm Tree. What fun we had with him. David the 7yr old told him he knew his name & Wes Palm wanted to know how he knew who he was. David points to me & said she told me. Wes turns to me & says how do you know who I am? It was very fun to watch Wes Palm interact with unsuspecting guests. We entered the Park & headed to get Fast Passes for the Safari & then grabbed a quick banana, water & pretzel for breakfast (6.64). While waiting for our Fast Pass we headed back to see It’s Tough to Be a Bug. I love this show but still do not understand the people who take young children. This is a very intense show & can be quite scary for young kids. Eric the 14yr old got quite a surprise when the maggots exited at the end & got a little too personal he said. We laughed about that the rest of the trip. It was time for our Fast Pass for the Safari & it was a great ride. We saw lots of animals & the driver was very good. I love it when you get to ride with others who have no idea what to expect & are amazed at the detail that Disney adds to their attractions. Hmm maybe the Disney Magic is beginning to happen to my friends. Suzi had always said this was the only trip she was going to make to Disney & did not plan on ever coming back. We also rode on Kali River Rapids & the boys then rode Dinosaur while Suzi & I looked around the new section of the Park. Kind of strange if you ask me. As there was not anything that was calling our names for lunch we headed back to the Food Court at Coronado Springs to grab a quick lunch before heading to Epcot (17.52)
Now Epcot is Matt’s & my favorite park & we were hoping that our friends would love it just as much as we do. I found it was very hard to do 2 Parks in 1 day due to the early closing of shows & Future World at Epcot. We did get to ride Spaceship Earth & Test Track a couple of times before 6pm & then headed back to World Showcase. Of course we had to stop by Norway to check out the beautiful Cast Members & to ride the Maelstrom. Even at Epcot some of the performers end early so we did not get to do as much as we wanted this evening. I had wanted to see Herman’s Hermits as this was the last night but due to circumstances I did not get to see them. We were getting hungry now but did not have any PS’s & as it was after 7p I knew it might be hard to get into a restaurant. Suzi & her family had thought about eating at Alfredo’s & we stopped by to check it out. The wait was quite long & I did not think Matt would eat anything there & by this time I was HUNGRY. I thought it might be a good idea for them to eat at Alfredo’s while Matt & I ate fast food & watched Herman’s Hermits but somehow did not get this idea across very well. We ended up eating in the American Pavilion (17.10) & while I heard part of Herman’s Hermits I did not get to see them. Oh well they will probably be there next year. After dinner we shopped in the various countries, Suzi loved the French Bakery & ended up getting a box of pastries to take back to the room. The older boys opted out of Illuminations & went to ride Test Track while Suzi, David & I watched the show. Once more back to the room late & into bed.
