Well, here's one of our groups insomniacs! I hate when I cannot sleep. DH wanted to see Jany Leno's newspaper blooper thing that's on every Monday night. So, I fell asleep by 11PM & awoke at 11:45PM & here I am. Stuck w/that painful Restless Legs Syndrome.
Goals for today: :D
Get water in, already have 16 ounces of it for today  & it'll probably also be keeping me up all night. But, will continue on when I awake for the day. :D
Eat smart. :D
Get a walk in. :D
Taking a drive into the downtown area of LA to see a warehouse of items that are available for renting. While walking our dogs yesterday I ran into a woman that needs someone to market, maybe a couple of hours a day & you receive as payment 10% of the net amount made off the event they eventually book They've done the Oscars, a list of things. Here's their site. http://www.designbydouglas.com/ Click on the tab to the right that says clients & you'll see all the things they've done. So, they aren't new, but are established & it's something I can do part-time from home. So, I"m going in at 1PM today to see the warehouse of what they have to offer people & then I can take it from there. :D
Have a nice day everyone.

Best of luck to you, Tinkerbell. :) I have restless legs syndrome, too. I take magnesium for it and it helps. It does make you lose sleep.
I got in a walk last night and I will try another two miles tonight. Hope everyone has a healthy day!

Tinkerbell, sending you good wishes and a little luck too.
Way to go Moley!! If you keep this up, I will have to take over as being the reigning Queen Lazy Butt.
Actually I got a lot of walking in at work last night, but darn it for the goodies the patients send in as thank yous! I simply could not pass up the peanut butter fudge. :WILLpower: OK, I will join Ali and the rest of you and eat good today.
Goal for today is to go shopping and buy a pair of shorts that fit for our upcoming trip. Seems my lost pounds have found me again. I will not have a meltdown, and accept what I have done. (Until I look in the mirror anyway  ).
See you all later. :deepSleep:

Tinkerbell, good luck on the new endevor today!
Moley, I get restless legs too, drives me crazy, and crazy isn't a long trip for me!
twirlergirl, Have a great day!
cshore, you are so preaching to the choir about bigger shorts. I even had to go UP a size because of the meds and all the stress eating I've been doing. Hang in there! I know I'm trying to!
Bookwood, my Curves does put up the top losers on the wall. It is very encouraging. I, however, have not ever weighed or been measured again, because my weight has gone up not down.
Everybody have a great day! :treadmill:
Goals for today:
1. portion control
2. water
3. Curves

Good Morning Healthinators!!
It's a new gloomy day here and I am having trouble getting fired up. Almost time to go into town to Curves and do errands and I'm still in my jammies, slippers, and sweatshirt. My errand trip yesterday was almost a complete flop- Lowes only have very small containers of Formsby paint and Poly remover (I will need gallons to finish my livingroom) Menards didn't have any at all and Home Depot was too far away! I got it by the half gallon in at Walmart- guess I'll head back there for now! then to Curves and I have to get some milk (I only have it in my coffee but should have some- even though I eat quite a bit of cheese)
Goals for today:
Curves (Cross training day)
eat smart
no snacks
maybe an ear of corn from BAnd boosters for supper
Strip the rest of archway and front door jam (and chair rail in between)
Work on day 4 of Trip Report (I'll try no t to be so long winded this time)
Have a great day all !!

Well, as I slink in here, I just woke a few minutes ago. Woke up with a horrible headache and sore throat at 7:30 so bad, I went right back to bed, without waking the boys. There was no way I felt up to taking Nick into school today. Which is ok, he's only in for extra help. Hope I can shake this headache, because I feel like my head weighs an extra 500 lbs!
Zach just broke his glasses so when I finally can think straight, I'll see about getting him in for new ones. Not exactly in my after trip budget, but what can you do?
Tinkerbell, Good luck, it sounds pretty interesting.
Moley, my dear, with all your success (you are doing great) , I'm afraid I've taken over your lazy butt position. Does it pay well?
Sandy, Busy lady, busy lady, good luck with all your appointments today! I hope you enjoyed yourself yesterday on you day off.
CHRIS!!!! I'm so happy your here!! Goodies are hard to stay away from, I know. Have fun shopping, they have a lot of great deals out there now. And just look at how close your trip is!! Heelo to ALI!!
Cheri, You're here and that matters! We never give up and for some (me) it will be a life long try. But I am convinced in my next life (? LOL) I will be a gorgeous beauty with a perfect body! I have two piles of shorts, ones that fit, and ones for those off days, some are tight and some are big. It's a daily gamble which ones will fit.
Bookwood, Well you certainly are getting your excercise with all that stripping you are doing! And as far as your TR, I think they were excellent, can't wait for the rest of them! Enjoy yourbusy day!
Well, I hope everyone else is hanging in there, and has a most excellent day!!

Hi BABES:
Day starting out badly but I plan to overlook it all. My #@$^*# computer is driving me totally NUTS!! I downloaded an upgrade for earthlink and couldn't even get my mail for two days. Then it told me I had no virtual memory and was going to upgrade it and the hard drive never stopped making animal noises. Finally, totally frustrated, I went to control panel and restored my computer to a date last week and am using my old version of earthlink for now but at least it stopped growling and I could get my mail. Dumb computers!!! :hppmad: :hppmad: :hppmad: :hppmad:
:viking: :viking: :viking:
There, I feel better!
Rainy and gloomy here so goals for today are:
Get online with bank and check what they say my balance is before I even look at the ever-growing pile of bills.
Pay bills
Find insurance forms (they're hiding) and send in some bills so I get some money back
WATER
START to look at material for Vacation Bible School whch starts Sunday night. It is so totally different from any VBS material I've ever used that I can't make heads or tails of it. I always had a manual and a student's book to coordinate my lessons and crafts etc. I don't think the leaders in this church are as organized as we used to be in NY. I think we also have to buy all our own supplies (crayons/nametags etc.) and then get money back. Really can't lay it out right now so have to check in with coordinator and get the scoop on things.
Call a few friends and set up some dates to visit there/here for next month. The grandsons visit cleared out our month of July.
Iron? (Why???) Actually, I'll need some "camp" type clothes for VBS as the theme is camping. I have to "build" a campfire for the room each day (something I'm used to doing for VBS skits) and make it seem like we're camping (how about some skunks and snakes??)
So, I think I have plenty to do this whole week.
Tinkerbell: I am familiar with the restless leg syndrome having it most nights and that's one of the reasons I don't sleep. Good luck with the job.
Moley: Another member of the restless leg club, great job on keeping up your walking. Can I pay you to do my walks too?
Sandy: Good luck with doctor's visits.
Chris: Just walk more to make up for eating the goodies. Actually, if you eat a whole grapefruit after each snack, it eliminates all those calories.
Cheri: Still another restless leg member. My meds made me retain water and my bp went up and I got yet another pill. Stopped the one med and legs are normal size and bp is down but pains are all back. Can't win!
Pam: Why not do your errands in sweatpants and slippers? At least you'll be comfortable and nowadays, I'm not sure anyone would notice. Don't sniff in too many fumes from the stain.
Sheryl: Sorry about your headache. Isn't it great when the kids are old enough so you can stay in bed and not worry about them burning the house down or having to get up to change diapers?? Hope you feel better soon.
Later BABES.

I will never give up being a Lazy Butt, no matter how shrunken it gets.
I do think getting a good fitting larger size is the way to go on a trip. You sure don't want to be miserable and going up a size can make you look trimmer than wearing a tight fitting smaller size. Going back on a program is easier after you have allowed yourself a good time on vacation.
Cheri and Sheryl, hope you both feel better soon. Stress does terrible things to your whole system.
Sandy, hope your checkup is a great report. I bet the med staff will be amazed with your progress.
Cindeclaire, I used to teach VBS many moons ago. I hope the week ahead with it is filled with many warm memories and loving moments with the kids.

Ever have one of those days wehre you are starving no matter what? That was today. I had several pieces of chocolate. Also let myself have some bread with my salad at lunch. Oh, well. I'm not going to beat myself up over it. There's got to be a reason I was so hungry. Went out and bought more Kashi cereal and will start back on that tomorrow. It is another day, you know.
No exercise for today. My aunt is in from Virginia so I was visiting with her. Hopefully, I can exercise tomorrow.
Have a great day everybody!
Amy
