:tink: Well Monday's here. Another week to work on the job hunt. That's my focus this week. I felt so horrible about my DH having to sell his last guitar today and he will have to secondary to monetary needs. Well, while I'm feeling horrible, I remember that we have a boat we can sell!! We forgot about it, since it's still in WA & his sister & her husband are using it, but rarely. So, we called them tonight & asked for them to advertise it. It's a 2000 SeaRay 18 footer, open bow.
Goals! :D
Tons of water. :D
Eat smart! :D
Take a walk. :walk:
Job search. :creator:
:waving: Have a nice day everyone! :tink:

Hi BABES:
Glad to see so many of you up and bouncing today. I'm trying to put the house back together after 16 days of grandsons visiting. Haven't found everything yet. Boys only left one sock as far as I can tell right now. Not bad.
Sun is out - not too hot yet. We REALLY need rain but only get a shower now and then - nothing substantial to water the lawn/flowers.
Goals:
DRINK WATER
WALK!!!!
Get to gym (tomorrow)
Clean/vacuum/wash floors/bathrooms/change sheets/ironWant to get some clothes before the stores have all the woolen and winter clothes in so I have some new for Dec. DW trip but I might be too late. Can't believe I can't get summer clothes in July!!!!
Pay bills. Oh boy........bad month.........no pension check until Friday and that's got bills waiting that will eat it up in ten minutes - tax bill came - life insurance bill - etc. etc. etc. Will pay what I can and try not to worry about it. Want to get Visa bill down before I add on December's trip.
Sheryl: DH wanted to see S.W.A.T. also so I had to wait for that to end before we got to sleep and then cable went out about 10 minutes right at the end so we missed the last fight/chase scene.
Have a DISNEYTASTIC new week ahead. Make the most of it. SMILE!!

Hey guys! All is well here. Doing good with the eating thing today. Goals for today are: (1) getting things accomplished at work, (2) exercise, (3) cook supper for the family, (4) eat right.
Keep up the great work everyone! Good luck with all the goals today. Tink -- hope the job hunt goes well. Moley -- I read last night that walking is pretty much as good as jogging (100 calories burned per mile). That's good motivation. SDMommy -- Enjoy the mystery lunch. Twirler -- you deserve the time to relax. Cinderella -- good luck shopping. I need to make it to the mall to hit the summer sales. I've always hated clothes shopping, so it is kind of painful. Pam -- way to go on the run! LGC -- have fun at Curves. Sandy -- hope you got some rest this morning.
Bye!

Hi all,
Weekend was okay. I was at a party Saturday night and managed to avoid anything bad and only stuck to veggie's. Since it was byob, I brought a diet coke and water - but I did stay up toooooo late. I usually end up with a hangover the next day without even drinking just when I stay up late, but didn't feel bad yesterday. I even managed to mow some of the lawn yesterday.
I still have to finish mowing in the back and finish weeding there. Some of the plants in the front where I finally finished the weeding have perked up quite a bit since they don't have to share the soil with those nasty weeds.
You would think with all the yard work I have to do, I wouldn't go buy anything else to plant. But yet I did, a clearance sale at grocery store on some annuals caught my eye, and the plants were in good condition. So tonight before weeding/mowing, I have to plant them. I know they are only good for this year, but they practically gave them to me, so I just couldn't resist.

Rosebud- We did go to Mike's and also Modern Bakery. How do you remain so strong?
I don't always remain strong, and perhaps you missed my post back in May that said I went to Mike's and not just to smell! I do however avoid the great Italian bakeries that are in Hartford, but if I knew that they had that particular type of canoli that I had at Mike's I'm sure I would cave.
The thing is though, there is nothing I don't tell myself I can't eat. If I tell myself I can't have it, I just want it more. Now that I have more control, I just pick and choose the things I really want, and don't just use the excuse that it is a holiday, or someone's b-day, or whatever else special occasion. Heck, I'm even the cake cutter at work and have no problem doing that and not having a piece. The treats I do have are far and few between. But I do eat treats that are on my plan regularly, so I don't feel like I'm lacking anything. I also make sure my meal choices are appealing or I'm not satisfied and will want something else.

I totally agree! That's the crux of winning the battle. You don't deprive yourself of anything because you will cave completely if you don't indulge. You can indulge w/a very small amount of what you ordinarily would have eaten, but it fills that nitch.
