Has anyone ever used Priceline for flights? I've used them several times for hotels, but I've never done a flight. I'm afraid I'll end up with a connecting flight that arrives in Orlando at midnight, and departs at 6:00am. :?
We normally use SWA, but for some reason Nashville has not been included in their recent good specials. We're considering Priceline as an option, but would love to hear from any who have actually used it.
Thanks!

Nope haven't used them yet so I'm curious to hear this answered as well. BTW you might also want to read thru http://p070.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding It's a specialist site about Priceline

Thanks for the link, Andy. :) I've used that site a lot to see what hotels and bids people are getting in an area. I didn't even think about it for flight info.

Alicia, if you use them, be sure you can live with the worse case senario. The rules used to say, no redeye flights and no more than one change without permission. I forget span of the allowable flight times, but I think they had until 10pm to fly out. We like to depart early when we're traveling to the destination and leave late when we're on our way home in order to take advantage of those two days.
Also they're nonrefundable. Most folks that are unhappy with PL just dont' understand the rules. I never use them hoping for the best when i know I'll be an unhappy camper if that doesn't happen.
Good luck.. i know it's really tricky finding good rates. Does Spirit fly close to you b/c it does fly into orlando?

That is very good advice, Sharon. After researching it a little bit more, I don't think I'm willing to risk it. Our time at WDW is too important to waste it away to save a few bucks. Two years ago we were able to fly all five of us roundtrip for only $300. In order to get that price (Friends Fly Free) we had to take a return trip at 6:00am. We said we'd never do it again.
It's just a little too risky with three kids and possible long layovers. Unfortunately the only low cost carrier we have here is SWA. We really do like them though, so I'll keep checking daily. Our original plan was to drive anyway, but after doing a cost analysis on it, and weighing the matter of three kids on a 12 hour drive, we're gonna keep trying for a discount flight. :)

Alicia, that was a dynamite deal for 300 for all of you! no wonder you didn't want to drive. Dont' dispare...there's still time for a good rate for SW. Do they allow for farewatchers? You might put one in on Travelocity too. we flew from tampa to new mex for under 200 for BOTH of us . my BIL got it from travelocity by having a farewatcher listed. good luck....will send pd for cheap airfare for you!
