No, not fried foods. It's hot! :sun:

Baby Sistah Ursulinda, take care of yourself. I'm sorry you got that bothersome ailment.

Everyone have a great day and weekend ahead. I'm going to try to back away from the fried chicken.

Morning everyone! :theWave: It's Friday and Nick does not have school on Fridays, so we slept in.

The plans are to go over to Snickerdoodles house so the kids can swim, don't think I'll wear my peek-a-boob swimsuit.

Last night I put together some of the boys school supplies for fall. They don't go back until after Labor Day, but our supply list is so incredibly long, you cannot wait till last minute. I need to make a stop at Target, without much money, so I hope I can contain myself from buying too much with all the clearence items now.

Today's goals:
drink water
don't snack

Guess I'm still in lazy butt mode because I cannot even muster up any more goals today, and I'm feeling rather lazy.

I hope the rest of you Healthinators are doing well and enjoying your summer. :circle: Happy Friday!

LOL@peekaboob swimsuit! Sometimes a lazy day is what we need so we can recharge. Yeah, that's the ticket. I'm sticking to that story.

Hello,

I can't be lazy tonight because I got lazy last night and didn't do anything in the yard. This weekend is going to be a washout so have to get something done tonight - at least mow front yard so neighbors don't freak out.

Sheryl,
You should have gotten a bathing suit like mine. I've never seen such a modest suit up top. It hugs me tight and goes way up almost to the neck. I wasn't even thinking about that when I bought it, I was more focused on the stupid stomach area. Didn't even notice until I went to wear it and then thought, wow I don't have to worry about peekaboobs!

Moley,
Are you doing Atkins or SB or something else? If you are doing Atkins you can have fried chicken - just have to adjust the recipe. Crush some pork rinds add in some fresh grated parmesan. Dip chicken in egg wash (or cream), coat with pork rind mixture and fry in a little olive oil. Sometimes I bake it too. Use this for both fish & chicken and it is yummy. Instead of egg wash you could also coat with mayo. You really don't taste the pork rinds at all.

When I can have fried fish & chicken and still lose weight and lower my cholesterol, how could I not love Atkins!

Goals:
Stay Focused
Mow the dang lawn
Clean the dang house (or at least some part of it)
Weed the back yard
Look for new bicycle seat

Sigh, too many goals when I'd rather just go to bed!

Good afternoon Healthinators! I'm here and hanging by a thread but will not fall off! I was very naughty yesterday but we did walk miles. DH and I had a nice day in Boston but it was HOT. I was disappointed to see the city was not what I had expected it to be just before the world was coming for a visit. It's like inviting guests before your house is finished. Things looked dirty and just not ready. The one thing I did notice was there was a decline in "street people" because many had been shipped to an island off Quincy. Couldn't let the world see that! When the Big Dig is complete it will be quite spectacular.

Rosebud- We did go to Mike's and also Modern Bakery. How do you remain so strong?

Sheryl- I always have a hard time getting back in the groove after vacation. I hope you and Snickerdoodlesmommy had a nice visit.

Moley- It's always lively when you are here! Good luck with the fried chicken, I hope you win.

I'm working on my water

Walk Away the Pounds (done)

That's about it! Hang in there Healthinators!

Well, no special K this morning as I didn't realize I forgot to buy any milk. So off to grocery and decide the donuts in the bakery smell really good!
(it's okay I rationalize, we are having company (sheryl and her 2 boys) so they will want some too right?) better buy them.
So a few donuts, milk, hot dog buns, couple bags of chips/cheetos and we are good to go!
Sheryl and her boys came over, all the kids went in the pool while Sheryl and I looked through a Christmas Catalog. (it wasn't pretty Moley. way too many great deals!)
Our kids always have so much fun together, before you know it, it's past 5 o'clock!

Back on the wagon! No more chips and hotdogs!!

Rosebud, you are a dollface! I'm on SBD(Say Buh-Bye to Dessert), so we can't have as many fats, but this recipe sounds doable. It also sounds good! I've really missed the crunchy. Thank you and kisses! :flowers:

Hi all. I'm gabk on the wagon -- officially. Today was another day. Tried that Kashi cereal. Tastes like bark, but hey, what do you expect from 10 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein per one cup of cereal?

Ate a slimfast meal bar during the lunch meeting today. Boy, was it hard to pass the Doritos and cookies. Also hard was passing up the cake in the office. I kept thinking that I have made it this far, I'd like to get to the end -- BEFORE the cruise. I know I'll have to diet again after the cruise to lose whatever I gain on the boat. I don't want to have to lose what I should have lost before then.

Everyone is doing so well. I know we all bump on and off the wagon from time to time, but it sounds like we are, generally, going in the right direction.

Off to take a walk! Talk to you all later.

Hi BABES:

Just me, NanaClaire, hanging by a thread. Boys on the way to bed. Got their bags packed (and had to use one of my "mickey" bags which better get mailed back!). Will be up by 2:30 a.m. and out by 3:00 a.m. to head for airport.

Just got an email from their father saying the plane was kind of tight for their flight back. Not sure what that will mean. We have to be at airport by 5:30 to get to gate in time to meet their father and then he will grab them and get their names on standby for the flight back on the same plane one hour later. If they don't get on, they have to wait until the next day for the next flight. DH has already complained that he's not driving them all back here and then getting up at 2:30 again on Sunday to do it again but am I supposed to leave them at the airport all day and night?
We'll see.

HOT HOT HOT and HUMID HUMID HUMID here. Got another thunder storm and then it got even hotter. We need some decent rain pretty soon.

I have been eating light and mostly doing 17 loads of laundry (the last 1 1/2 weeks) and chasing the boys around and walking with them and cleaning up after them so that's been my exercise. DH will be sooo happy to hit the gym again next week.

Since we missed the play on Wed. due to brother and his wife popping in from NY, I thought we wasted the money for those tickets BUT a nice lady at the playhouse gave us seats for next Wed. with the same tickets. Nice lady. It's their version of "Father of the Bride" which I always enjoy.

So, got to get to bed (of course I will not sleep as it's too early). I might just take a shower and get dressed now and sit in the den and watch TV sitting up. It would save me the trouble of getting dressed in a few hours.

Keep up the good work (You too "Boobie Sheryl"). Like I always say, "If you've got 'em, flaunt 'em"
.

I didn't even know that I hadn't checked in today. Thought I did.

Some good news. :D Yay! I haven't been able to find my digital camera for over a couple of months. I knew I had it when I got here, but, just couldn't find the darn thing. Well, I'm in the closet looking for a suit that's a tankini w/the boy panties or something, you know what I mean. Still can't find that one, bugging me that I can't locate it. Anyhoo, while in the closet I grab one of my Disney bags to carry stuff w/us to Malibu Beach tomorrow & the camera w/in it's bag falls out & it's charging now for tomorrow's beach trip! Can't wait!

Got water in today and ate smart. Didn't get a walk in though. I had slept in today because we were going over a friends house in the Hollywood hills tonight & he got a better offer. So, that's next Friday night now.

My clothes fit the same so I guess my weight is staying steady. I'm not losing though & I know it's because I'm not motivated to exercise. Tomorrow is another day.
