...because I chose a flight that takes off at 6:30am to get me to Orlando today, which means I have to be at the airport by 5, which means I had to set my alarm for 3, which means I had to go to bed at 10. Just like when I was 10 years old.

But I discovered something: 3am is early no matter how early you go to bed.

I was nuts to book such an early flight.

Nah...think of it this way, you'll be in WDW THAT much sooner! :D

Have a great flight and a terrific first day!

Hope you have a great first day tomorrow, SusanL! :)

If you are - so am I.
I always leave on the first flight out on the day I'm going to Disney. I don't want to waste that day.
Super Shuttle will be picking me up at 5 am on Wednesday to take me to the airport. The flight leaves at 7:35 am.
I used to take one of the last flights out of Orlando, but I found that the transportation from the hotel left for the airport so early, that I still did not get much use out of that last day. This time my flight is at 3:00 pm. Magical Express will probably still pick me up before noon.

I thought you were going to say that you were nuts because you packed already and aren't leaving until tomorrow morning.

I'm leaving early Tuesday morning and I'm actually 99% packed. Not that is totally NUTS! And something I never ever never do. That craziness actually messed up my sleep last night because I finished late and then it was like it was the night before an early flight, so I barely got any sleep. I really hope I can wind down tonight and get a someone decent amount of sleep.

You know, Will, 3 a.m. isn't that early if you just stay up from the night before. Of course that does make noon feel really late. ;)

Sorry Will- I don't agree- I love the early morning flights that get my to Orlando to actually have time to enjoy a park before bedtime!

Early morning flights are a must when coming from the West to get to Orlando before dark. Now you East Coasters - not so sure why you do it!!!! ;)

Love the early flights! Took the 6:55 flight from Philly last month when I went down with my sister and we were sitting at the pool at Pop by noon! Then took a late flight home on the last day so got in more pool time -- felt like we got an extra 2 days out of the trip. Of course those 4:30 a.m. wake up calls aren't the greatest but who sleeps the night before a Disney trip anyway?

Hi WillCAD!

I always took the earliest morning flight that I could get in order to maximize my time in WDW. You aren't nuts, just someone who wants to get to WDW as soon as he can.

Jim

Same thing I always do.
Say, Jimbolini, where have you been lately? I haven't seen you at the last couple of Tag-o-Manias.

Hi Carl,

Because I needed to do some work on the house, pay off credit card debt, etc., I haven't visited WDW since December, 2007. In May of 2008 I went with my then-girlfriend and her son to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. In 2009 and 2010 I went to Nelson, British Columbia, for family reunions; and from February 28 to March 12, 2011 I was on a southern Caribbean cruise on RCL.
