:tink: Just going to post this start & get back in to edit, so we have a start place! Many times I spend a bit of time getting a thread started only to find someone else was also, so nobody did & here we are.

:theWave: Ok everyone, the wagon is coming by & just grab one of our hands & we'll get everyone back on board, even if it's just to say hi & get water in at the very least. Water alone will help.

Sheryl, I know how good those sugarfree pops are. I'm a former addict to them. I think that I've also mentioned that I'm convinced that nutrasweet and any of the sugar substitutes increase my appetite. I was putting it in my iced tea (decaf) and found that I was always hungry. Even just after eating. Made no sense, so I cut it out & I was right.

cshore! Hi! :waving: Good to see you back. :D Welcome aboard the wagon. Hey, where's Alikat & how's she doing?

Jennyanne, Hi! :waving: Glad to see you hoping back on the wagon w/us. I'm just happy when people check in just to say hi. You've had a rough summer. Hope it gets better.

Bookwood, congrats to you girlfriend! :notworthy: You're doing great! You are always so motivating, as is Pixie!

Boy, I never even got in here yesterday. :hppmad: Meant to. I was going to take a day off from job hunting as it's getting me down, but got involved in it & the day got by. It's hard work as Ursulinda mentioned, it's my job to find a job. So, it's very tedius. I did find out from one potential employer yesterday why Californa takes so long to make any kind of decison. She is the owner of a company that will interview me next Wednesday, although we had a great one hour phone conversation of an initial interview & it soulds like a perfect opportunity for me, but it's a small company & benies are not as good. She told me that employers want every i dotted & t crossed because of frivilous lawsuits regarding workmens' comp in this state. It's very expensive because of the frivilous lawsuits. One precedent setting case was a person who was fired & then turned around and sued, successfully for a huge sum of money for "wrongful hiring" because the employer should have known that they couldn't do the job!   What lawyer or plaintiff can sleep at night having done that? I have to say that it did make me feel a bit better because I was getting very depressed regarding the less than timely manner of hiring around here. I have an interview w/her company next Wednesday when her HR person is back from vacation. She needs someone now, but won't interview w/o her HR person, as she's a small business & she would be put out of business if she even had one lawsuit. WOW! Why do people & lawyers do those things?

I did well w/my eating yesterday & my fluids also.

Today's goals: :D

Drink fluids, already well on my way. :D

Eat smart! :D

Take a walk w/DH. :walk:

Try to take a break from job hunting today. I don't know if I can do that but I wlll try. :?

Have been having excrutiating back pain. :happytears: I think I may have to find a doctor that covers an L & I claim from WA state. The pain is exactly where I got that dislocated disk on March 31st w/that large patient. It's so painful. I'm up this early because I only slept 2 hours because of the pain. I hate going to the doctors though & always hope the pain won't come back, but it does. :hppmad:

:waving: Have a nice day everyone. It's supposed to be nice and :sun: today. Hope everyone else gets a piece of that :sun: :tink:

Good morning Healthinators!

Today I will

Eat healthy ( ?)

Drink only water

Walk Away the Pounds

Enjoy the day with my DH

We are on our way to Boston to spend the day. We'll ride the Swan Boats, eat at Durgin Park and probably go to the North End for pastry. It's a once a year treat and the walking will help burn some of it off. It's going to be very hot but this is our last chance because the DNC will be here next week and then it's our vacation.

I hope you all have a super successful day and stay focused. Don't forget why we are here!

Have a fun day today, pixie! Hope everyone here has a healthy day. I need to get more water in. That has been a problem lately and I just need to make the time to be sure a full glass is nearby.

See! I was right! Pixie & Moley both arrived at the same time!

Pixie have a nice day in Boston. Great city. :D

Moley, hi :waving: nice to see you. If you have trouble getting your water in, put a squeezed slice of lemon in it to make it tolerable or just a little lemon juice from the bottle. Good luck. :tink:

Morning all!! :theWave:

Not much planned for today. We had made plans to go over to Snickerdoodles house today to swim, but are supposed to get some major thunder storms so we'll wait and see. My butt is a little tender from sitting here typing my trip reports yesterday, so I want to get something done today.

You know Tinkerbell, the more popscicles I eat, the hungrier I am. Thank goodness they are all almost gone.

Pixie, I hope you have a fun day. And enjoy a pastry for me too please.

Moley, I have to force myself to drink the water or otherwise I'll jsut drink Diet pepsi. Somedays it is easier than others, but I really have to force myself.

Today goals:
drink water
make smart choices
finish laundry (almost there)
do something fun with the boys

I hope you all have a wonderful day today!:circle:

Hi BABES:

Quick post. I'm still alive. Brother and wife arrived yesterday before lunch, we ate, opened house gift (glasses), and took them touring neighborhood and out to Boyd's Bear Barn. Came back and had dinner and dessert and went for walks around area. Sat up until 12:20 this morning talking and then got up at 6:00 a.m. to make their breakfast before they left at 7:00 a.m. (and then I had to go see gyn. for my annual).

It was good to see them again and we had a good time but you can never get him to sit still for five minutes and one night here was not nearly long enough to even see the area or go out to eat.

Never made it to play so we wasted that money. If I had known they were coming sooner I could have arranged to trade them somehow.

Eating on the run (at home mostly). Started packing grandsons clothes/
toys/gifts up and tomorrow is their last FULL day here.

I haven't heard from their father so I have to call him. I'm assuming all is still the same as far as flights go but he didn't send me an Email with his statement requesting that we chaperone the boys all the way to the gate to meet him. He will leave the plane, grab boys, and then put their names down for standby to go right back on the same plane. Wish us luck. Don't want to drive them all back here and have to get up at 2:00 a.m. again to drive to Dulles!!!

I will get back on later or tomorrow and check all posts/trip reports/prayer requests.

Hi all,

Been awhile since I posted here. Every time I come to the site lately I get distracted and don't post here, so today I'm posting here first.

I must say I'm extremely jealous because Pixie is probably right at this moment eating a delicious pastry at Mike's! I should be thinking "better her than me", but I admit it, I'm jealous.

Been doing good. I went to Newport Saturday and Block Island Sun. We brought bikes Sun and now my bum is hurting me - still! I need to get one of those wide seats that doesn't hit my bones the wrong way. I even have a gel seat cover and it still hits the bones the wrong way and kills me. Since I finally put air in the tires I would start using the bike regularly for work outs, but it hurts so darn much. Maybe that will be my project for the weekend - buy a new seat.

Sadly I've been neglecting my yard work, so last two nights spent time weeding and I'm not even close to finishing! Never mind the lawn that needs mowing. But my weekends have been crazy lately, always something planned.

Anyways, I'm cracking down a bit this week from a few over indulgences which pretty much held me steady the last few weeks. Better than gains, but I want to continue to lose. So I'm being super strict this week.

Goals:
Stay Focused
Finish weeding
Mow the Lawn
Buy a new bicycle seat

Rosebud, I love Newport! Great food & walking around & visiting the mansions of the Vanderbilts and such. One time when DH & I went to the "Astors" the person where you purchase your ticket, doing her part says,"Would you like tea with the Astors?" DH says, "No, I just want to see the place!"   It was our first visit to a mansion. He caught on after that but it was really funny! The views from those yards. Ahhhhhhhhhhh...

I like one of those pastries right about now too. :D

Sheryl, you are not supposed to type your trip reports with your butt. Use your fingers. The keyboard will love you for it, too.

I'm back, guys. Been several days. Went caving with the family in central Kentucky this weekend. It was loads of fun. Back home now. I wan't great (but not as bad as I could have been) on the trip. However, there was a potluck today at work, and I was terrible. Starting over right now. I'll be very good for the next couple of weeks. I only have about 7 pounds to go to my "ideal" weight. I really want to get there. I won't do it before my anniversary (on the 13th); however, I still can do it before the cruise. I just have to get motivated again.

Still have to workout tonight. Also need to eat a healthy supper. I'm going to try the Kashi cereal. Sounds not so good, but it's so good for you that I'll manage.

Talk to you all soon!

Amy

Moley...you are too funny!

Just a short checkin today. I had a long day today with a field trip to the zoo. My kids were wonderful, but it was very hot and I now have a screaming headache. My wonderful DH just gave me a head and neck massage, and then ran out to grab us a quick dinner. Nothing great, but I'm having a baked potato from Wendy's. Just not hungry and don't feel like eating much. Going to take an Excedrin PM and head to bed soon.

I hope everyone had a great day! Sheryl, can't wait to read your trip report when my head feels better. You're really making me look bad that I have been back for almost 2 months and have only done the first two days. I would like to keep working on that tomorrow night. Maybe that will be my weekend goal.

Have a nice evening everyone!

Hi All!

I did great on the water today, but no core exercises and not much else, either. Sat in my chair almost all day. Would you believe . . . I got impetigo? I think from the saliva sucker at the dentist office . . . :-( I am crabby, I can tell you, and my face is a basketball with divots. Ugh. ear ache sore throat UGH. But - It makes it real easy to stay on a diet! lol. This too shall pass! I'm going to go entertain myself reading Sheri's trip report. Glad to see everyone is hanging in there! Happy Day All!
