For those that want to start planning for the fourth Tagrel.com meet which has been forever dubbed as Tag-o-mania!!!

The 2012 core dates will be: 5/16/12 - 5/21/12 (Wed - Mon)

As always we will be looking forward to lots of great meets and much to do at WDW during this time frame. The Flower and Garden Festival will be in its final week and since this is the first "spring" meet there should be lots of new things to explore. :flowers:

I am not sure if Phyllis and I will be able to make this meet after all. I am totally DVC "Points Broke". I know I could rent or book a regular DVC room; we will have to see how things work out over the next few months. So for now we will not be coming.....very sad!

However I am very happy for all that can attend. Flower and Garden is my favorite event at WDW! I know you will all have fun!:D

There is a small chance we will be able to attend. The boys really want to go for Star Wars weekend and they enjoy F&G as well. It depends what Nick's health is like. He finishes chemotherapy in Feb.

I'll be doing the AllEars Fantasy cruise from 5/19. I'll be arriving on 17th, but I believe I'll focus on doing SWW before the cruise....

I'm certainly a wannabe there. I may even be a probably. I can't commit yet though. School will still be going on here in NJ, so Janice would be a no and that's part of my not being able to commit yet. It would mean going without her. Not knowing yet if we're getting the DVC addon that is going through the ROFR process right now is another reason. If we do get the addon and Janice doesn't mind my going without her I may just be there, possibly with Stitch in tow. Having Stitch with me would depend on whether he's got a job yet. If I can go and I'm by myself I'll be looking for a roommate. I'll plan on staying at OKW in a studio.

Hmmmmm....This is tempting. School calendar wise, it doesn't fit (last day of the school year for me is May 31st). However, I keep telling Byron that I want to do a solo trip (Mommy vacation). I could maybe take a personal day on Friday, fly out Thursday evening, fly back Sunday, and have a couple of days with the Tags.... Hmmmmm..... (and hey, if Byron wanted to tag along with me, that would be fine too :), but Noah could stay at camp Maw Maw and Paw Paw)..... I will have to think about this.....

I'm thinking that I may possibly be there the first couple of days. I want to be there the weekend before and also for a day of Star Wars Weekends, so that is my :confused: - how to do it all! So I may go down the Sat before and then come back Sat. :confused: Would that do it? :confused:

Although it will be HOT, I have submitted a request for a room at DVC for Tag-O-Mania 2012. Otherwise I'd have to go by myself next October and I don't like to go alone anymore. I'll pray for cooler weather, but don't find it likely.

OK. I have gotten my reservation for May 16-21, 2012 at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Thanks to SusanL and Betsy Ann for having a meet at the Wilderness Lodge during Tag-O-Mania 2011. That way I got to see it and also see how easy it is to get to and from the Magic Kingdom from there. I didn't get to see the villas themselves. How far from the Lodge are they?

About 40 paces.

When we last stayed at Wilderness Lodge the pool was being refurbished so we used the pool at the Villas. It was very close and there's a covered walkway between the lobbies.

If you walk in from the FWL bus stop you come to a spot in the sidewalk where you turn left and walk about 50 feet into the hotel lobby. Or you can turn right and walk about 50 feet and into the villas lobby.

Well........:?.......I'm sorry to say that it looks like I won't be going in May 2012.

I was in Illinois at my sister's over the weekend and when I mentioned about going together sometime, my niece-in-law excitedly said - whenever you are ready! And since I had a bunch of points expiring in August - I was very ready!

So we quickly planned and booked a trip for June. I got a 2br at Kidani Village and looks like there will be Sis, her DH, Nephew and his DW, their 2 year old and maybe my Dad.....he seemed to weather the trip OK this time.....we would all like to have him along. He will be 89 then......kinda hoping I could get him at the MK as the Veteran of the Day, would be really neat and he would love it.

Anyway - assuming they don't change on me (doubtful, they were all very excited....)......I will have to get the next Tagomania instead!

I don't think I will be attending, unfortunately. I am going to be at WDW for a work conference from 4/28 to 5/6 (there's a few days of vacation in there too), and I won't be able to swing the cost of another trip so soon. And besides, when I get home, Ashley will be there, home for the summer from Seoul, South Korea for the last 3 1/2 years! I'm so excited. We will be likely planning a short trip in late August (yeah, I know) before she leaves for her next adventure in September.

Hey Tags! I just heard the dates for Tagomania are in May instead of October so I popped right over here to see for myself. Yay! I'm going on the AllEars group cruise so I think I might be able to come early and "tag" onto some of the meets. I haven't been able to do the October meets so this is great news. It'll be fun to reconnect with old friends I haven't seen in awhile.

Well I have to officially say that I won't be able to make it this year. Please take my name off of the attendees list.

As a side note some of the points I was going to use for this trip are now available to rent. It's basically enough for two nights in a studio at all of the WDW DVC resorts. I posted about this in the Own A Piece of the Mouse thread.

I may have withdrawn my going too soon. I think I can get an airfare that I can live with. If I can get a unit booked for the dates I'll be there (Thur. 5/17 to Mon. 5/21) I may just be there.

If I can do this I would love to have a roommate. I'll be staying in a studio unit at either Animal Kingdom Villas (Value) or at Old Key West. The cost for being my roommate (other than actually being my roommate ;)) is feeding me. The choice as to whether you want to do the standard DDP (1 TS, 1 CS and 1 Snack) which would be mandatory for the two of us for the entier stay if DDP ($51.54 each so $103.08/day for the two of us for a total of $412.32 for the 4 nights) is the choice or I plan on purchasing a TIW card this year anyway so we could do it that way (20% discount but an automatic 18% gratuity added at TS restaurants).

BTW Janice has no problem with my roommate being either gender. If two people of the same gender or a couple would be willing to room with me that's fine too, but you'd have to sleep in the same bed.

Wow, been so caught up with health issues I never saw this Tag-O-Mania thread. Now I have lots more to look forward to. Add Dick and I to the list and pray we'll be there. Today I did something I haven't done in over a year. Make a DVC reservation. We are booked at OKW May16-20. I'm hoping that we get our first choice of dates for Nick's Make a Wish trip, May 11-16. His MaW trip is a day at Discovery Cove w/dolphin encounter, a VIP tour of Sea World, a day at Universal, and a free day, which we will go to Legoland. So unless something unforeseen comes up we will be there. I don't know if you need a total for the attendee list, but it will be 5 of us all together. DH, the boys, and SIL (plus me).

Since I didn't want to drive back and forth from Daytona Beach and Walt Disney World, I found a cheap hotel room for Thursday night to rest up for Friday morning.

I plan on parking at Magic Kingdom before their 8am opening and put my mobility scooter together and taking the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot for the 8am rope drop.

I love the Flower and Garden Festival and I have never experienced the Star Wars events.

I found a cheap Econo Lodge hotel for one night for $25.00 to sleep for about 6 hours before starting over again Friday morning.

I didn't consult my body about this, just making plans with my brain that always thinks like a Disney Kid at heart.

I look forward to seeing everyone and experiencing everything with everyone.

I'm sorry that many of you can't make it this trip.
