I'm busy trying to get our days and PS planned for October. We've twice eaten at LTT with the kids, and we all love it. We usually plan it for near the end of the vacation. By that time we're all pretty sick of steaks, chicken fingers, and their regular sides, that we're craving some good ol' traditional food with vegetables. The meal then seems like such a change of pace and a real treat.

We want to do that again this year, but are considering Garden Grill to try something new. The menu sounds similar to what is served at LTT with a few changes. One thing that does concern me is that Passporter lists the childrens meal to consist of chicken fingers and mac and cheese. We're trying to get AWAY from that. Their children's price is the same $9.99 that LTT charges. Do you know if the kids can just get the same thing that they serve the adults. I always assumed they just brought out the dishes family style. Is it really different for kids?

Just wondering if the kids can eat the full menu and if we should stick with LTT or we'll be happy trying something new that'll be just as good.

Hi Alicia:

We've eaten at both Garden Grill and LTT. We were at LTT for MVMCP last year and have ressies for this year again. I agree, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it.

We also ate at Garden Grill last Dec. so we could get "re-hitched" on our 10th anniversary. We found the food to be very filling and unending. I can't see why you couldn't order enough for the number of people you have. I'm not sure if they charge less for kids but the food was great. It should be easy enough to check on the boards though.

Does Deb Wills site help with this Alicia? I don't think there would be a problem ordering smaller portions. Disney always seems to want to accomodate!

Looks like it's standard to have the different menu at GG, but you're very right. Disney does always seem to like to accomodate. :D

I'm wondering if the 'kids meal' is an alternative for fussy eaters, who won't eat 'adult' food.

I know there's a kiddie buffet at the CP, but kids can eat off the adult buffet and vice versa.

I have a child that picks here and there sometimes and other times eats the day away!
Nothing worse IMO than paying full price for a meal only to hear "I'm not hungry"!

You're probably right, Robin. My two oldest kids will eat ANYTHING. They love all the different foods you can find in World Showcase, and enjoy fruits and vegetables. The youngest however, is much more picky. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, as I haven't changed what we eat. :? She loves chicken tenders, pizza, and pb & j. She'll eat any fruit, but isn't too fond of vegetables. Fortunately she'll still be under 3, though only by 1 month, when we go. We'll probably do a lot of food sharing with her. Either that, or be thrilled that they offer chicken tenders at just about all the restaurants.

At GArden Grill kids can eat the "Family Style" offerings as well as adults and still pay the kids price. Even if they opt for the kids dessert of "Dirt and worms " we were charged only the "kids" price! They can order a "kids meal" and sample the family style too!

Thanks, Pam! :D It's good to hear from someone who's been able to do that. I think my kids (at least the two oldest) would prefer the adult meal and the kids dessert.

We ate at GG - 2 different tables. At our table we had 3 adults and ordered the adult, kids, and vegetarian dishes. The only problem is that the vegetarian dish takes a little longer since it is not standard fare, but I don't think it took as long as the waitress said it would.

Even though you already got your answer that kids could get the adult food, I'm posting so you know you can order kids meal if you are an adult and adult meal if you are a kid - this includes the desserts if, as an adult, you prefer worms in dirt instead of the apple crisp.
