View Full Version : Towncar service?
Is everyone here using Quicksilver now? Are they comparable to Happy Limo & Tiffany Towncar as far as vehicles & service? We were satisfied with both (Tiffany guy was much more friendly- Happy brought us a free upgrade limo which was a pleasant surprise! 8) ), but would like to use Quicksilver for obvious reasons  . The rate seems similar, if I remember correctly.
The only question I have is regarding luggage. We tend to pack a LOT- and take about 7 suitcases (of the black rolling variety). Most (5) of them are about 21x15x8 or around that, 2 of them are larger 26x18x9 (about). I'm reasonably certain they all fit in the towncar with Tiffany, maybe one of us had to hold a suitcase in the car. I don't remember honestly. Does anyone think we will have a problem with the luggage fitting in a towncar? Or should we go for a van? This is another $15 which my hubby won't like, but maybe I just won't TELL him & he'll think it's a bonus LOL.
I just want to make sure we're not stuck at the airport with too much luggage to fit into the vehicle!
How do I get in touch with Quicksilver- just do a request at their website?
Thanks everyone!
Rhonda

pixi, from the forum index, right beside where you click to get into this "planes, trains, and automobile forum, there is a link to Quicksilver's site. I'd bet Gregory will be along soon to answer your question, but you can also contact him via the website, or PM here. I'd certainly contact him and see what he recommends with your luggage specifications.
I've used Tiffany and Yourride both in the past and been happy. There was just something different about using Quicksilver though. Gregory, as I'm sure all his drivers are, is just a super nice guy. We had very interesting talks both to and from the airport. I even saw him at the Mega Mouse Meet and he remembered me, came up and said hi, and pointed me in the direction where all the Tagrel.com folks were. 8)
We had three ladies with lots of luggage, and they were able to fit it all in the trunk. They also offer a free 30 minute grocery stop, a photo, and a phone call. We loved them, and will definitely use them again!

Hello Rhonda,
Though it might be possible to fit all the luggage in the towncar (maybe using a Bungee cord and/or a couple of bags in the vehicle with you) I do strongly suggest a Van. You'll be more comfortable, and there will be extra space for your luggage plus groceries (if you are making our 30 minutes free one). This way we won't risk you having to wait for a Van to be sent if it all won't fit... :)
Reservation are better made over our website. This way I will be able to send you a nice confirmation email which you can print and bring along with you.
My best regards,
Gregory Nicolas.

I completely ditto everything Alicia said! Gregory from Quicksilver is the only towncar service I've ever used, but I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Thank you, Gregory. The excellent service you provide makes it easy to recommend you. Even if you aren't our driver in December, I still hope to see you at the Mega Mouse Meet, or maybe even one of the Tagrel.com meets. That'd be cool! 8) Make sure you bring pictures of the new little one if you get to come. :D

We just got back late last night, but had the pleasure of doing business with Quicksilver.
Two weeks ago, I emailed Gregory just to verify all our information ( two days before we left) and he called me back in person a few hours later apologizing for taking so long to get back to me, but that his wife had just had a baby. I was first of all was surprised that he had called me, and that he apologized when it had he replied to me so fast. I knew at that point that we had made the right choice. And Gregory is the most pleasant man to deal with!
Our driver was waiting patiently for us when we arrived at MCO, helped us with our luggage, took us for our grocery stop, and had us to our resort in no time. Our return to the airport was just as smooth.
We found Quicksilver's service to be excellent and will use them again in January.
Oh and the boys LOVED watching Nemo in the car.
Thanks Quicksilver!

Hi Gregory,
I rode with you way back in December. It was a great trip. I remember your telling me you had a little one on the way, due in June. I hope everyone is doing OK.

Yes, Stephanie was born on June 30th. Everything is doing very good, not a lot of sleep, but very good.
Thanks a lot for remembering.
Have a great day,
Gregory Nicolas.

We used quicksilver in May for the first time and were extremely happy with them.
WE are not considering anyone but quicksilver when we go in November.

We returned from our trip Saturday morning & I would like to add my glowing endorsement of Quicksilver also.
We did a stupid thing & flew stand-by. Of course we got bumped Sunday night so I called to cancel, they were very understanding.
Monday evening when we finally arrived in Orlando, Damilson was waiting patiently at the baggage claim, he teased my husband about what a relaxing vacation he would have waiting in long lines & walking in the heat. The car was immaculate & a nice comfortable ride. We stopped at Winn-Dixie on the way, but long story short, late Friday night we called to check our flight availability for Sunday & found out the only flight had 3 seats so my husband decided we should leave Saturday am. He called Quicksilver at 6:30 am & Damilson was waiting at the check in area at 7:09 am. He had another party to pick-up at 8:30, but he was extremely courteous, & we so appreciated having him as our driver.
Thanks so much to Quicksilver & also to everyone on here for many great tips that enabled my family to make the most of the time we had.
