Hi BABES:

It's not really Friday yet but it's way too late to post for Thursday. (It's really just 10:30 pm Thursday)

I'm doing okay. Boys are wearing me down. We went to Hershey Park today (they had a tornado touch down there yesterday) so we had to keep an eye on the weather. Had a good time and the boys got to go on some of their favorite rides from last year. We had a strong breeze all day so it helped to cool us down some. We've also been to the fish hatchery to feed the fish, to the park to fly kites, to see "Garfield" at a mall in Maryland to the toy store to "browse", out to lunch, out to dinner, to get Italian ices. I'm running out of ideas and we have a week to go!!!

For today: had cereal for breakfast, shared a piece of pizza with DH for lunch and had tacos (1) for dinner (we made our own). Had some fruit after and have to get upstairs for some water.

Have not been to the gym since I fell last week. Bruises are starting to heal but my back and neck are keeping me from getting a good night's rest. (As I'm typing this I can hear the boys bouncing around on the bed where they are supposed to be sleeping).

The weather is still too hot to walk around the loop but if the boys don't get to sleep soon enough tomorrow, I plan to walk them until they tire out.
:walk:

Seems like we're loosing BABES each day. Hope everyone is just busy with the summer here and kids home and people visiting etc.

We miss all you guys!

Have a great day.

Hello to all you wonderful, motivated healthinators!!

Although I haven't been around lately, I still drop by to read and find out what is going on with you all. I have missed you all so much. Unfortunately I am still doing awful. I have slipped back in to so many unhealthy habits, I am wondering if I will ever get the motivation back. Maybe by posting here it will be a first step. Ali is on track and doing very well though. I am so proud of her.

We do have a last minute quick trip to the World planned before school starts though, and we are both looking forward to it. It will, of course, be hotter than blazes, but all the same, with the price of airfare we couldn't resist another trip.

Wishing you all wonderfully successful and happy day!!

Chris

Good Morning Cinders and CShore! I HEAR you about having not done anything in exercise and falling off the wagon HARD! Only good thing I've done is my core exercises, almost daily.

It's been a heckova week, and I for one, will be VERY glad to see it end. . . not that i've only been off the wagon for a week, you understand. . .

Here's a quote to maybe help us kick start:

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful
men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is
almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of
educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone
are omnipotent." - Calvin Coolidge

Goals for the day

Core exercises
drink water
survive work and be thankful for it
call or write notes to three people I haven't seen for a while
eat healthy
avoid stopping at my favorite ice cream place this afternoon even if it is Friday at the end of a horrible week.

Happy Day, All! Let's ROCK!

Great sentiment, Baby Sistah. I think we can all help each other get back on track. C

Cindeclaire, hope you feel better after that fall. Ouch! Don't do that again.

cshore!! I've missed you. I've been bad, too, but still come in here anyway. They welcome back bad girls all the time. Stay healthy, drink water, and enjoy that upcoming trip. Come back soon!

Happy Friday, everyone! :sun:

This is a great morning Healthinators! How wonderful to come here and "see" cshore and Ursulinda. I miss you ladies so much, you always brighten my day. We all stray now and then but there is a great big safety net here that won't let you go too far.

Cinderella- Don't wear yourself out doing the grandma thing. Take it slow and make sure you take care of yourself. The boys will love you no matter what you do or don't do. I know it's hard when you only see them 2 weeks each year and you want to cram so much in.

cshore- You made my day, I've been missing you! Now is the time to make sure you get a walking base for the 1/2. In a couple of months you will start your 14 weeks of training and you'll be ready to go. You will be fine, we've all been slow getting going so we'll just bring up the rear. Tell AliKat I said "hi" and to drop in a spread her sunshine sometime.

Ursulinda- I always love it when you come here. As long as you keep faithful to the core exercises you're not bad. The summer is a very difficult time to resist temptations, I know. I hope this ends your rough time at work and next week is better.

Moley- You are always welcome here. You ARE bad, but that's GOOD! Have you mastered the BowFlex yet? I really need to start this weekend learning how it sets up. My DS said it's easy but I don't want to mess it up for him. (Maybe that's just an excuse)

Cheri- How's the Kashi going? Make sure you are taking care of yourself.

LeiasMom- I'm going to keep trying the Slimfast and see if I get used to it. It seems to settle heavy in my stomach about 30 minutes after I drink it. I feel slightly nauseous but it goes away quickly.

Tinkerbell- Good luck with the job. Is there any way you can get out of your lease? I know how much you miss your DH when yo are apart.

Today I will

Eat healthy

Drink only water

Walk Away the Pounds

Accomplish something around the house.

If this was easy we wouldn't need to be here. I, for one, feel so fortunate to have met all of you and appreciate your support. Please keep coming here on bad days as well as good. Together we CAN do this!

Claire, have you checked at your local craft store for a craft class for the boys? They are realitively inexpensive, and there are even those that lean towards boy's crafts. You're a great grandma!

Ursulinda, I always love your quotes of the day and they seem to fit right into where I am! I appreciate you so much!

cshore!! I'm so glad to see you. I've been really really bad, so we're all in this together! I'm so excited you are getting one more trip to the world before school starts. Tell Ali, I miss her too!!

Moley, how's the boxflex going?

Pixie, the kashi is going well. I do good until the evening meal rolls around. I'm still having a terrible time with portion control! I'm not hungry, but I seem to eat until I just about can't breathe and then when the food actually hits my gut, I really can't breathe! If I could get that portion control under control, I think I would be good to go! The slimfast makes me just feel "yuck" I can't explain it, it's like it bottoms out my bloodsugar or something. Maybe that is what is going on with you?

Leiasmom, you are doing a fantastic job! Keep on rockin!

My goals for today:
1. water
2. kashi plan
3. PORTION CONTROL! (I typed in big letters so maybe it'll sink in better. LOL)

Have a great day everybody!!!!!!! :walk:

Hi again BABES:

Thought I'd add some more since I really started this post last night.

Good to see so many BABES here today. I knew we'd find you. We were going to send out the BABES-R-US police to bring you back.

I for one and probably doing worse then anyone here and I keep coming back so all of you should too. There are just so many tempations out there and so many people who are pulling us in all directions during the day that it's hard to keep on a schedule and take care of us first. I'm bad at that!!!

Anyhow, wanted to just say hi to you guys and thank you for climbing back on the wagon - which is getting reeeeeeeaaaaalllly full about now!
Once I get on it we WILL need bigger wheels fer shur!!!!

CShore: Great to see you here! You'll get motivated soon enough. After all, you want to make it all around the World without any heavy breathing don't you? (Unless you run into Tarzan, they'll be no heavy breathing!).

Ursulinda: Great to see you here again too! We miss you when you're gone. Great quote. If I can get on the wagon, you can too. We'll all grab a body part and help pull you up!!!

Moley! I'm glad you stopped in too. We miss you also when you're gone for so long. No one is "badder" then anyone else here. If any of us could exercise and loose weight easily, why would we need each other so much?
If God wanted us to all be thin, he would not have invented chocolate and whipped cream now would He????

Barbara girlfriend. How's things going "up there"? Any lobster or crab diners lately? I hope we can get back up by summer's end or maybe Sept. It depends on how my mom is doing. Maybe we can meet at Kittery and find that crab shack???

Cheri: I've tried the Slimfast many times and my stomach cannot take it. I get dizzy and lightheaded etc. I decided it wasn't the way I should eat. If I can get my three meals in and then just snack on veggies and fruit, I can make it to the next meal with no snacks. Due to the fibro pains, I am not getting in my walks and have not been to the gym since last week when I fell. We are getting in lots of walkig with the boys though in the malls, at the arts/crafts festival and yesterday we walked MILES at Hershey so that counts. Try to write down what you will eat the next day and make up your mind not to touch anything NOT on that list. Give yourself an extra treat of some sort if you've been "a good girl" so you feel like you're being rewarded.

I can't wait until we're all thinner and we can have a "BABES-R-US" meet at DW wearing our itty bitty shorts and halter tops and bikini's and not scare anyone else away!!! :ariel:

See you ALL back here tomorrow.

Bowflex report: No, I have not mastered it. I'm still making faces at it. This has pumped up my lips which were already buff from years of chewing brownies.

Hey guys! Just stopping in for a minute. Busy day at work. Will be awol for a few days as well. Visiting some family (sister and sister in law) over the next couple of days (haven't seen either of their new houses and am getting pressure from the family). Then, we're taking Leia to Mammoth Cave. Exercise should be easy. Eating well may be more difficult. One day at a time, right?

Have a great weekend all!

Just wanted to say Hi here! I am happy to report the Special K cereal with berries was a real hit here this morning.
Although, I ruined the day already by getting into a chocolate stash that I found while putting some Tupperware away.

I will drink a lot of water to make up for it!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Goooood Afternoon!

Gee, can my days get any busier? I only had a few minutes yesterday to post and was surprised when it disappeared instead. No time to repost. "The Boys" are keeping me hopping. It was 2 pm today when I realized that I had feed everyone but me today. Every time I try to take a few minutes for myself, they are into something. Next week, we are sending the 6 yr to camp for 3 days, hooooooray!!!! It's just so time consuming with the baby to keep up with the other two. Claire, I know what you mean. We have colored and painted, gone swimming, readed books, played with Legos, watched movies and TV, played outside and even rode bikes. Right now the boys are punished with "NO" TV, movie, DVD or computer priviledges for 3 days by order of their mother for back talking. I starting to wonder who's punishment it really is, their's or mine. That was my quiet time activity while I feed the baby. I've had no quiet time for three days and I'm about ready to scream.

Todays Goal:
Stay alive until 6 pm when they are pick up.

Drink 64 oz of water.

Steal some time for myself.

I need a vacation -----

They have overnight camp for a 6 year old? Or is it just a day camp? I don't think I could take my 6 year old at camp overnight. I would be the one in tears!
