Any techno geeks out there that have experience with this? Forgive my format as I know nothing about this but am asking for dh...we have an ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro and are trying to put video onto DVD (before my cute little babies fade into nothingness!). He is using Audio 8 ATI pinnacle software and it keeps dropping frames when trying to capture in MPEG for DVD quality. Does that make sense to anyone??? Any ideas how to fix/avoid this?
And on that note, I don't suppose there is any way to put a Disney video onto DVD to take in the car. Apparently the screen comes up green.

Disney is very protective of their videos and DVD's. You really can't dupe them with standard equipment.

I haven't tried making DVD's yet, but I've done regular mpeg clips. I think it has to do with how fast your computer can process the video. How much RAM (memory) does your computer have?

I know when I do clips it shows the status of how many frames it's dropped. Luckily it hasn't been enough to be noticable.

Digital FAQ seems to have some very good technical information.

This page recommends what setting to use with the ATI card:

Here are some tips to avoid dropping frames. Since capturing video is very memory intensive they recommend you shut down as many applications as possible while doing the capture.
