This was an early entry morning at the Magic Kingdom. We wanted to be there at opening, so that we could take in all of Fantasyland before the crowds arrived. The bus came around 7:15 and we were on our way.
Once thru the gates we got our picture made in front of the castle, then headed straight for Fantasyland. First up was Dumbo. Anna Kate loved flying in the elephant. Then it was off to Peter Pan, Snow White, Cinderella’s carousel, and It’s a Small World…all with now wait. We were at the rope drop into Liberty Square right at 9:00. The plan was to do Splash Mtn. And then BTMRR, but we got a little glitch in that plan. John and the kids got on Splash Mtn., and I got a baby swap ticket to use next, but Splash broke down just as they were about to get off. That delayed us quite a bit, and we had breakfast reservations at the Crystal Palace at 9:45.

What a view of Fantasyland, and two happy girls too.
We hustled on over to Crystal Palace, grabbing a fastpass for the Jungle Cruise on the way. Breakfast here was great as always. The characters were lots of fun, and the food delicious. With tip breakfast came to $64. This was Anna Kate’s first close up experience with the “head characters” this trip, she was slow to start, but warmed up to them quickly.

I had to hop in there with that bouncy one I love so.
After breakfast we used our FP for Jungle Cruise, and then rode Pirates of the Caribbean. We decided to ride the train over to Toon Town, because the kids had never been on it before. Once in Toon Town, we took the path over to Tomorrowland. We rode Space Mtn. using the baby swap. The kids love this, because they get to ride all the good stuff twice!

This was actually Kristen's first time to ride this. She loved it!
Next we headed over to Tinkerbell’s Treasures. Kristen’s birthday had been on Thursday the day before we left. This was also the last day of school, so we were quite busy with packing and school activities. I told her that we’d celebrate her birthday on Friday at WDW, and I’d buy her presents there. She loved the fact that she could shop away in there and knew we were buying. She actually did very good and picked out just a few small treasures. We stopped by the photo center and bought our Main Street photo, then hopped the bus to the BCV.
Now was my time to try Stormalong Bay. I loved it! This pool is absolutely incredible. I think we checked out every area, and had a few runs on the slide too. What follows was really bad planning, but it turned out fine, and gave us a chance to appreciate all the options that we had in the Epcot resort area. We’d originally planned on having dinner at Beaches & Cream, but we stayed in the pool a little long, and by the time we got cleaned up and back down there…they had an hour wait. The kids were hungry, so we considered our other options. We thought about Spoodles for pizza, but we had a chance to maybe catch Fantasmic that we’d missed the other night. There was a slim chance we’d get a seat, but I thought maybe since they were having two showings that night. By the time the boat got there, we heard it was standing room only, so we decided to just have dinner and shop a little. We had pizza and chicken fingers at the Sunset Ranch.
John’s watch had broken right before vacation and it was driving him nuts to not have a watch, so he got a new Mickey watch. Eric shopped for some more villain pins to complete his collection. He loves that villains shop. We fed the ducks at the boat dock while we listened to the ending of Fantasmic. I love that music, and wanna be Fantasmic Mickey when I grow up.
Up next…Animal Kingdom, dinner in Japan and Illuminations again!
