The holiday weekend is over and I can't believe no one showed up yet!

I had a great weekend. Went camping and avoided eating any s'mores or even just plain marshmallows. I also managed to drive by that darn ice cream place a few more times without stopping. Skipped all the junk food at the picnic I went to on Saturday, stuck to eating hot dogs and hamburgers until I was satisfied so I wouldn't be tempted by the other stuff. While camping I had eggs and bacon for breakfast - that stuff taste so good outside. I used to feel guilty about eating that, but now that I know as long as I skip the toast I'm good to go.

However, I went to the fireworks and that darn kettle corn called my name and I just didn't resist. At least I didn't get the big size and at least it isn't something I have to resist too much. Things could have been much worse this weekend, so I not dwelling on it, but moving on.

Stay focused

Hi Rosebud:

I'm wondering where everyone is also. Maybe they are all BACK on the WAGON and running/walking/exercising/jogging/at the gym/eating properly etc.???????

I've been good so far. Eggs for breakfast and salad for lunch. DH went to play golf. I went for check up with Rheumatologist. Still can't sleep so he's trying yet another pill to knock me out. Taking me off Vioxx as that may be the problem with my blood pressure going up and me retaining water - DUH! No one figured that out for the last few months? So, we'll see tonight how the new pill works for sleeping.

Still terribly warm and muggy here. I hope DH gets home soon as he's just getting back on his feet from the pneumonia and I don't think he should be overdoing it.

Almost done getting ready for grandsons/daughter. Just some baking to do and signs to make. Trying to find some used bikes for sale in town or at a garage sale that the GS's can use while here. DH thinks if he gets them to ride the bikes for a few hours each night they'll fall asleep a little earlier -
I doubt it!

Come on BABES - Let's see you show your faces here!!!!!!

Have a great day.

Hi Lou-Ann:

OF COURSE I have plans to hit Hershey with them. Not sure what I can do with daughter here only 2 1/2 days. If she wants to go to Hershey, maybe we can do a late night on Friday and get in with discount tickets. Otherwise DH and I will take boys for the day next week.

I'm here. Not much to say. Still staying on the diet. Need to exercise today. Been too busy last 3 days to exercise. I've got to get back on track.

Hope to see everyone back soon!

Really late check in. I finished off my ice cream last night. Glad it's gone. The comfort food didn't bring much comfort.

I've gotten my waters in today. I did have a hot dog for lunch though.

I spent the day on my old computer where I can access Microsoft Word for resumes, cover letters & such. Lots of work. I have to go out to fax some resumes tonight. I emailed one.

The job I was hoping to get, called to let me know that it was given to another person. :( So, back to the old grindstone. I figure if things get much worse, I'll ditch the resume & waitress if I have to. I don't want my DH to have to sell his 40th anniversary Les Paul guitar. That would break his heart.
