I'm not a huge fan, but there are some lines that we say over and over again.

Apu "A jujubee is not a sprinkle....maybe in some Shangrila..."

Apu "Would you like a Squishie?"

Captain "Argh - I don't know what I'm doing"

Captain - "Argh the hot pants" "Argh the precious cargo"


I love the episode where Homer is in the basement fiddling with the toaster and he creates a machine that takes him to alternate realities....what a classic!

As evidenced by my quotes above - the episode with the crashed ship carrying the precious cargo of hot pants is a favorite.

I also like the major league baseball episode where Darrel Strawberry has to go to rehab.

(I'm a much bigger South Park fan - it's crude, but hilarious)

This is one of the consistently funny shows. I love they way they subtly refer back to previous episodes. The new springfield/old springfield episode is a classic example of this - the trash wall they build contains bits and pieces of previous episodes - even the Olmec Collossal Head!

my son and I love the simpsons, penny hated it, and the roo thought we were all nuts for caring at all about it. I love any episode with the comic book guy - he is such a classic comic book nerd. I think Owen's favorite character is Mr. Burns - Owen can often be seen tenting his fingers and saying "excellent" or "release the hounds." My favorite scene is where Homer intervenes to prevent Bart from jumping the canyon, then plunges in himself, is winched out, and then the ambulance crashes and his gurney plunges back in.

My favorite character if Homer's Dad. He kind of reminds me of my Dad towards the end of his life. He was with it enough to enjoy it & kid about it. :tink:
