I am trying to decide what to do on one day of our trip & can NOT decide...
It's a MK EE day (Thursday), and then we will be heading to EPCOT for lunch at Marrakesh. I had originally planned a LATE lunch (not sure how late we can eat there) in lieu of dinner, but am lost as to what to do in MK before that.
Should we eat an early lunch at counter service (I am leaning toward Columbia Harbor House) or will we be too full to be able to enjoy our Moroccan meal?
My husband is not really a "breakfast" kind of person- otherwise I would say we'd go to the Bakery & grab a quick bite. Usually when we do that, he just gets coffee.
So....
Should I change plans and head to EPCOT early and have a normal lunch there? And if so, then what?
And how long should I allow to transport from MK to EPCOT's Marrakesh (we will probably be using the boats across the lagoon to Morocco - they still have those running, right?) so that I know when we should leave MK (via Monorail, most likely)?
And if we eat at the normal lunchtime at Marrakesh, what is your suggestion for a light dinner (prefer counter service)? The Food & Wine Fest will be in full swing, but I had planned to sample that stuff on Saturday- will there be plenty of offerings so that we can do both nights & not be "bored" with the choices?
Ok I'm done obsessing for now......
Thanks!
Rhonda

I found Marrakesh to serve huge portions, even at lunch. So you want to go hungry. You'll want to either have an early and not too heavy 'brunch'. A lunch of 2pm or later will 'almost' carry you through dinner...so you might want more of a snack for dinner than a real meal. The food at Marrakesh is on the heavy side....meats and starches so you won't find yourself hungry a few hours later. Popcorn for dinner sounds good to me.

I'd do EMH at MK and take a 10ish break for some nibbles (try the bakery on Main Street or just pick up a giant pretzel, popcorn or a Mickey bar. Then hit your Morrocan lunch later (I'm guessing they serve lunch until 3ish I'd shoot for 2:30 or latest lunch seating when you call. There are lots of "counter service" places in Epcot.

There are tons of booths at the F&W, more than enough to cover your one planned day and another snacking day. At least 30 of them. We "ate around the world" one day, from about 1pm to closing and had to skip lots to get to the lamb chops over by Canada (the kid's favourite) before Illuminations. You'll be glad to have the extra time, they serve dessert too, you know!

I with everybody else. Make your Marrakesh seating for about 2:30 and just grab something light before. As far as getting to your PS, I would allow at least an hour. Maybe even and hour and a half. Epcot's security does not go as quickly as the other parks IMO. The security table is set up right next to the gate to get in and I find myself aggravated everytime. Even thought I tell myself to breathe in and out. :bee:

You'll love marrakesh. The special of the day at lunch just can't be beat for the price! Have a great meal! :eat:

One way to beat the security problem would be to take a bus (instead of momorail) to Yacht or Beach Club and walk in the International Gateway- it's hardly ever busy and usually a quick stop for security!
