Good Morning!
I'm kidless today. DS called early this morning to tell me the baby was sick so DDIL is staying home with him. He has a fever but it's mostly teething. I'm not sure what I'll do with myself for a whole day. Maybe I'll paint the babies room or something constructive like that.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and the wagon is still fully occupied. I'm hanging on but would like to move up to a full seat.
Today's Goals:
Drink 64 oz of water. I didn't even come close all weekend to my 76 oz goal so I've backed down a bit. I'll make this for sure.
Eat healthy on SBD. DH actually read some of the book and was discussing it with our dear friend (DF), Mike. It's amazing how much the two of them got into all the details of the diet. DF has been on the diet about 3 weeks and lost about 15 lbs. DH now wants to lose 10 more lbs also. He's almost a "bag of bone" now.
Have a magical day everyone!

Today I am going to meet Cinderella! We spoke on the telephone yesterday and I know I am going to love her. Please remember her in your prayers tomorrow as she goes to see her mother. I'll be praying that her mother is having a great day and Cinderella leaves her feeling at peace.

Good afternoon everyone, we had an early start and many errands to run today, so this is my first chance to check in.
Yesterday was a success! The SUV Limo picked us all (my parents, my inlaws, my sister's family and my family) up at my parents house, took us to dinner at a nice place on the Buffalo waterfront (water was terribly choppy) and then up to Niagara Falls. The weather was nice, not to hot and not too cold, just right for the day. One we got back to my parents house, we had a fire and teh kids cooked marshmellows. Both sets of parents absolutely LOVED the day and you could tell they really enjoyed themselves, loved their scrapbooks too.
So, now it's time to get serious about this upcoming trip. Today the boys and I did errands,a dn tonight I will start pulling clothes aside. I'm trying really hard to not get too excited yet, we still have a few days to go.
Todays goals:
drink water (already drank 32 ounces)
make smart choices
get things accomplished
Twirlergirl, enjoy your day and pamper you!
Pixie, enjoy your time with Claire, she is a sweetheart just like you!
Pam, get those errands done, you'll be on your way real soon, can't wait to see you again!
I hope everyone else is doing well! :circle:

:tink: Boy, I had to put my potato chips down to run :mickeyWalk: to catch the wagon.... :fly: hanging on by a thread. I've been ok except for these chips around the house.
Pixie & Claire, have a great day today. Claire I hope all is well w/your Mom & you & brother god are able to get along.
Twirlergirl & Bookwood...you both exhaust me! Twirlergirl, today is your day & you should enjoy it! I know you've probably already got that room painted. I'm also sure that Bookwood has everything on her list done also, Can you two bottle that energy & send it to me???
Had an "interview" w/a place this morning. They called me last week to set up an interview. When I asked who it was with I was told, "They'll tell you when you get here." I told her that was too vague. She then told me that they receive resumes from employers that we fax resumes to & then they screen them for the employers. So, I brought everything that I've faxed. It wasn't any of them. They got it from a search engine thing that has my resume. We'll see what happens. Not thinking too well about that one. Are there a ton of scams out there or what? Seems like a couple of scams I've come across since moving here. :confused2: I just don't have the time for scams.
Ok, goals for today.
I've got more that half my water in already. :D
Try to EAT SMART & not notice those Lays :WILLpower: Potato chips!!! :?
Get a walk in. Maybe after a nap, I'm so tired, didn't get enough sleep last night.
Hang on to the wagon at all costs....my feet are dragging....oh...
Sheryl, wanted to give you a special thanks for making up MissB's book. What a great job. Thanks so much. :tink:

Boy oh boy did I have a day today. Stop reading here if you don't want to hear a big whiner. . .
Was having a busy morning today. Came home for lunch. Was eating a healthy salad when mom called. You will probably remember that she's a stroke patient. Well, she's also diabetic. Mother in law is keeping the kids while DH is out of town again. Well, when Mom called, she sounded slurred. It just wasn't right. She wasn't able to answer questions (even yes or no). I was terrified she was having another stroke.
Threw the baby at the mother in law. Stopped eating right then. Drove straight to her place (which, fortunately, is only a few minutes away). I gave her juice because it was either sugar or a stroke. I quickly grabbed the glucometer. 27. TWENTY SEVEN. At 21 you pass out, have seizures or strokes and DIE. The woman took her insulin this morning and proceeded to SKIP BREAKFAST. Then, she was so tired (from sugar lows) that she didn't eat lunch (which she normally does at 11). By now, it's 12 p.m. I fix lunch and pour more juice down her. I get her to 47. Then, I want to yell at her but I restrain myself. I have a conference call scheduled at 1. I didn't finish my lunch. AND my idiot of a mother just about killed herself. I could kill her to tell you the truth.
I got her sugar to 99 before I left. She's fine now. She just had to sleep it off. However, if I hadn't gone over there, she would have passed out and likely died. She knows better than to skip meals.
I know that I run these risks with her living alone. I know that she'll probably kill herself one day. However, I know that there are quality of life issues for her. It is better to have independence than to live forever in a nursing home. Still, this is hard for me.
Rant mode off. Sorry.
Goals for today:
Eat well (not a problem)
Exercise (I need to blow off some steam)
Laundry
Thanks for letting me whine. . .

:tink: Oh Amy... as someone who also took care of a parent that insisted on living at home & refused to live w/any of his kids, I UNDERSTAND!! It's very frustrating at times & scary too. My father would have preferred to die at home than to be in a nursing home. I maintained that as long as I possibly could. So, I truly do hear you & your pain. Hugs. :tink:
