And an even more exciting rumor - well, for those families of five anyway - is the news that the Alligator Bayou section at Port Orleans is doing away with the trundle bed but getting a fold-out bed large enough for "a small adult".

I don't want the special rooms at POFQ!!!! I love French Quarter and it's hard enough to get rooms there now- If they put the special room there I'll never get to stay there! (ok enough being a petulant child!!) The rooms look cool though!

Does anyone know if any official announcement has been made on the HM rooms? We would love to stay in one for a couple of nights.

Well, seeing as how the Royal rooms at POR are $34 more per night than a Standard room I hope the HM rooms don't happen. Disney is just getting crazy with all the new room categories, seasons (see Value Season I and Value Season II), higher rates for weekends, higher food prices in peak season. They never let a year go by without raising ticket and room prices, no matter the state of the economy. It's getting to be too much for the average family.

What do you really get with these Royal rooms and Pirate rooms(CBR)? You get the same size room with the same amenities. It's decorated a little differently but I think the novelty of the theme will wear off after a couple of days. In the case of the Pirate rooms at CBR you also get a room that's as far away from the food court and main pool as possible, at $30 more per night. If these themed rooms were $5 or even $10 more I could maybe understand it but when you get over $30 more that is insane.

As long as Disney has people lined up eager to hand over their money they'll keep dreaming up new categories to charge extra for. So after the POR renovation is done they'll probably start on the HM rooms at POFQ.

I've always said what CBR needed to get people into those far away rooms is a mini food station over there. If not food carts, they could setup something like the poor bars or permanent stations around WS.

Decorating a bad location and charging more... it's still a bad location.
