MK fireworks at 'Ohana

If I wanted to leave MK and go to 'Ohanas for dinner, and wanted to see the fireworks, what would be a good time for a PS?
The projected closing time for MK is 6 PM (this is the first week of Nov). Do they do the fireworks every night or only weekends, and what about the parade?
Assuming there is a parade AND fireworks that night, we would probably need to leave prior to the parade, I am assuming... or be near the exit before it starts so we can make a quick exit.
Is there a boat to the Poly from MK or should we take the Monorail?

yes there is a resort boat from MK to the Poly -

I would think, if the park closes at 6pm there will be no fireworks that night. Traditionally we have been pretty unlucky with fireworks at MK, but things seem to have improved with WISHES and it does seem to be on more often.

Spectromagic is only on intermittently, so again, with a 6pm close, I cant imagine there would be enough time for the parade that night.

Also, whilst the beach may be a good place to see the fireworks from the Poly- when we tried to watch them from the restuarant, the trees obscured our view of the fireworks. I know others have had a different experience from us, but I wouldnt go to Ohana's to see fireworks again.
