Anybody stayed there recently? I'm curious to know how you enjoyed the trip and if they've gotten the bugs out of the check-in process (I've been hearing mixed opinions on the check-in).

Andy we stayed there for 4 of our 11 nights just 21 days ago. We arrived about 145pm & had about a 10-15 minute wait to check in I would guess. They had lots of CM's at the desk so even though the long looked to have been pretty long was not a bad wait. Check-in was very smooth & our room was ready when we arrived. We were in the 50's section, very centrally located. This area is close to the Bowling Pin Pool & the Hippy Dippy Pool, close to the Everything Pop Gift Shop & Food Court & close to the Front Desk. I would guess from our room maybe 5 minutes tops to the furthest area. Gift Shop has your basic items but also has the build The Mr Potato Head area & Character Bowling Balls that you can have made! If you are looking for food or sundries to buy here though the pickings are slim. Just did not seem as much as at the other resorts we have stayed. Food Court is much like All Stars but has some added twists there also. They have things like Mom's specials that they serve up in what looks like a TV Dinner tin meal. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was excellent. Also some different items like Tie Dyed Cheesecake, Twinkie Tiramisu & Frozen Cokes! An added treat is the piped in music if you like oldies & then it gets better. When you hear the song, Do the Hustle prepare to be entertained. The entire restaurant stops working & gets up & does the Hustle - very fun. Bus service here was very good although you almost always have full bus loads. They do have queue areas for the bus line however they are not covered so it does get hot. My biggest complaint with this resort was parking. Since this resort has the added lake it takes away all the parking that would normally be on the back half of the resort. We finally figured out after the 1st day that the best place for our area in the 50's section was to actually park in the 60's section. I have to admit since I have had a taste of some of the Deluxe resorts I am not as enamored of the Values as I used to be but all in all I think this resort gives big bangs for the buck. Whew that was sure more than what you asked!!!

Has the parking situation improved at all?

Well we checked in this afternoon. It was really good. I was worried that there were only about 6 workers behind the counter, but there weren't many people in the line so we only had to wait about 5-6 minutes. We are booked into the 70s building and it is a great building. We are in building 0, and I think that it is the closest to the main building that you can get. The parking for us is not bad, but it would be pretty brutal for some of the other buildings. Considering the size of the resort, the bus service has been very good so far. We went to MGM this evening and didn't have to wait for the bus at all. Going home wasn't too bad either. We made sure that we left before Fantasmic let out, so we would beat the crowd and we were in luck there as well. Just had to wait about 10 minutes for this one.
I actually like the food court and store. We just left POFQ a couple of days ago, and I think that I prefer the PC food court. It has a much more varied menu, and everything looks really good!! The store is quite large, with lots of souvenirs.
This is the first Value I have ever been in, we usually stay at Moderate or Deluxe, and while it is definitely a change, it is still very nice. We requested a king bed, and while it is a handicapped room, they were still able to accomodate us. So we got a nice king bed and managed to get a room with a bath, apparantly most king beds have a wheel in shower.
Anyway, so far, so good. Time will tell how this is going to work out, but it looks good so far. We check out of here on June 29 and check into Poly Concierge then, so I guess it is going to look even better!!
