Anybody hear anything about any upcoming AP room rates for summer? Thought we might have heard or should hear soon.

Not at this time. But the current promotions end on March 27.....

Keep in mind if you are looking for simply room only rates, you can book the Spring Summer promotion for most travel dates this summer (up to Aug 14th). I have found that these rates are the same or very close to the AP rates. So, if you do not want to wait, I would snap up this discount and then see what happens.

I do happen to have a little printout here of the history of when rates were announced - (which I add to from time to time).

In 2008, the AP rates - room only - for summer were announced in early May and were good for check-ins from late May to early August. This offer was later extended into September by a mid-June announcement.

In 2009, the AP rates - room only - for summer were announced in early May and were good for check-ins from late May to early August. This offer was later extended into very early October by a mid-June announcement.

Now, having done pretty much the same thing for 2 years running, Disney is very likely to change it all around. :razz:

So, I definitely think Suzy has the right idea. If maybe having to wait another 6 weeks - to even book - is going to be a downer, book now - change later.

Since AP rates have been very close (and in some cases the same), I would not hesitate to book your preferred dates/resort with the Spring-Summer promo. By the time they release their next batch of AP rates, some resorts/dates may not be available. :)

It depends on the date, but as an example:

July 8th
Standard Room at Pop: $83.30+tax
Standard Room at FQ: $120.25+tax

July 9th (weekend)
Standard Room at Pop: $93.80+tax
Standard Room at FQ: $130.00+tax
