Tag-Hotels for the Tag-A-Venture

Hey there,

It looks like there are a few favorites for Tag-A-Members who are going to the Disneyland Tag-A-Venture. :girlears::boyears:

So that everyone can hopefully stay in the same hotel(s), I would recommend staying at one of the following:

*Grand Californian Hotel
*Disneyland Hotel
*Candy Cane Inn

To start things off I'm intrested in 1/21/2011-1/25/2011.

My first choice would be Disneyland Hotel, second would be Candy Cane Inn.

So other Tags attending the A- Venture where would you like to stay and what are your dates. (Maybe we can get enough for a group discount if we all stay together.)

Thanks Suzy, I think you are right with the top three choices you have listed. I know DL hotels don't operate the same way as WDW with their discounts, but last year they did have a couple of good specials. Maybe we will get lucky again this year :smile:

My choices will be DLH if they run a special and CCI if they don't.

Yep, these are my top choices too! Put me in with the Disneyland Hotel first choice bunch. The others are great too, no preference.

We are going Jan 20 - 23.

First choice is DLH if there is a deal. If not, I have ressies at CCI.

Just a quick note: Rates and reservations for the Disneyland resorts are expected to be released about mid-August.

Candy Cane Inn is currently booking. :)

I have a ressie at CCI but if I could afford it, I'd go to DLH if most people are staying there. Leaving either Sunday or Monday.

I have the same preference: DL Hotel or Candy Cane Inn. Both great places to stay and so convenient. :)

Just read in the DL room that the Disneyland Hotel and pool will be undergoing some major renovations. They didn't give the start dates, but by the completion dates it looks quite likely to start before Tag-A-Venture. We will have to reconsider where we'll stay because of that :(

They are refurbishing all the rooms and they are replacing all the windows. They had half of one building done when we were there in December. For me it won't make a difference, I still love the location. I figure in January I won't be using the pool anyways, just the hot tub but if it's closed it won't alter my wanting to stay there. I have my fingers crossed that they have a good rate. I will add that if they don't I am very happy to be at the Candy Cane Inn.

Hiya!

Disneyland Hotel has been refurbishing each tower for quite a while. They are already half-way through completion. The Dream Tower is just about complete and they have started on the Wonder Tower.

MyBob and I are willing to go along with the majority here....looks as if we need to make ressies at CCI now, then switch if a good deal comes up at DLH. This is going to be such a great trip! I can't wait!!

Okay, I need to cancel Candy Cane Inn.....Because Bob and I booked Disneyland Hotel with our shiney and brand new DVC points. Yep, we joined DVC just before we left Tagomania.... :)

Well, the trip is a go for me!! I will be looking at booking airfare and hotel over the next couple of weeks. Most likely I will be going to the Candy Cane Inn but would love to be on property. :)
