Good Morning, All!

Today's quote:
In order to live freely and happily, you must sacrifice boredom. It is not always an easy sacrifice. -- Richard Bach

Does that mean we should sacrifice TV watching for exercise?

Goals for today:
Go to dreamless sleep for another 4 hours, please
drink 120 oc water
stay on my eating plan all the way to bedtime
disregard the strawberry short cake calling my name
remember memory pills.

Happy Day, All! Let's ROCK (later)!

Alrighty Ursulinda, I'm with you! Today is going to ROCK! And I will do good!

Boredom, what's that? I may not be bored, but I am happy.

Heading off to Target to buy more of these smalle shorts. I LOVE them and they are so comfy. Then going to my sister's hosue to help set up for the garage sale, this time at ehr hosue. She lives across from a school, and we always gets the teachers over there looking for stuff for their classrooms. Maybe some more of the toys will go.

Todays goals:
drink at least 72 ounces water
make smart choices
finish up my dresser in the bedroom (everything is scrubbed then)

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :circle:

OK EVERYONE WAKE UP!! I KNOW IT'S SUMMER BUT GET MOVING!!
:talking:

It's been awhile since I've been here but everyone's been on my mind! Went to the Y this morning and had a great workout. :treadmill:
Hopefully now that I have some stuff that's been going on in my life behind me I can concentrate on working out and feeling good. If I could bottle the wonderful feeling I have after my workout I'd make a bazillion dollars! 8) As I lay in bed feeling so comfortable and cozy I just want to stay there, I forget about that feeling of accomplishment after my workouts and when that happens it gets later and later and then I have to go to work (UGH) and so goes the vicious cycle of becoming a slug!

Hoping everyone has a great day and I'll try and log on tomorrow!

Hi all,

OK, yesterday I was trying to be nice by building some rails around the wagon to keep everyone on. Well apparently someone doesn't want to be kept on the wagon and tried to sabotage my efforts to build the railings by trying to push me off!

OK, Fess up which one of you was doing the pushing? Well despite your efforts I found something to hold on to and ignored the best chocolate chip ice cream calling my name. It was taking them so long to cook my cheeseburger, I thought I might not make it, but I did it. Thank goodness no one ordered the chocolate chip ice cream while I was standing there waiting or I might have caved. And because of my determination, the scale rewarded me this morning.

Sheryl, make sure you buy a pair or two of shorts in the next smaller size while they are available because soon the ones you bought will be too big. And you know in a few weeks they'll have all the winter clothes out and no more summer clothes.

Goals:
Stay Focused
Continue building that fence around the wagon despite someone's efforts to sabotage it

Good Morning Healthinators!!
I hope everyone is enjoying the time they have! I have to admit I'm haing trouble letting go of the boredom. I've been in town to curves, shopped a little, gotten the trash out and the can back in, cleaned a fan, started to mow the yard (didn't get far not even out of the garage- and a belt came off so the mower souldn't move so now I'm stuck with nothing to do ! I don't want to get all cleaned up and go shopping cause the yard will still have to be mowed when Mike gets the belt on sooooo here I am.

Goals:
Curves (done)
Water (started)
no snacks (so far so good)
eat smart (plan is in place)
get new running shorts and tights (already done)
Maybe take a nap!! (guess I'm suffering slightly from empty nest)

Have a great day

Hi BABES!

Still think we should call this section, BABES*R*US (even though SOME of us are not looking like babes yet).

So-so day here. Have a headache. Got up early to get DH and I to lab for regular blood work. Had breakfast out afterward and came home to phone call from assisted living that FIL wanted Ronnie there to take him for haircut. I explained Ronnie was going nowhere until he was better. I did drive DH there to see FIL outside (and not inside building where the older people all have the virus going around). Explained to FIL that Dh would come back when he was feeling better and we only stayed a few minutes and to bring a weeks' worth of newspapers for him to read.

Came back and made lunch for DH and gave him papers to read and he watched old Yankee games on TV.

Sun is out and it's about 200 degrees outside and the humidity is about 300% (okay, I'm stretching the truth just a wee bit - but it sure feels like it). Probably more rain later.

Due to play miniature golf tomorrow in Gettysburg with six of the neighborhood ladies who do NOT play regular golf. I might have the neighbors who are not going keep an eye on DH to be sure he doesn't get out and on the lawnmower while I"m gone (if I catch him doing that it won't be a pretty site!!!).

Saturday is a 50th anniversary party for one neighbor couple and if Ronnie is feeling 100% we'll go for a little while. Sunday is Father's Day and it looks like I'm cooking dinner and we'll bring FIL here to eat.

Guess I'll put plans to visit my mother in Maine off until Ronnie is up to the trip. Last week she forgot that she lives where she does and when brother god took her out for the day and back again, she asked the nurses if it was alright for her to stay the night. She forgot she was living there since February. I'd like to get up there again while she still knows me.

NO gym for two weeks and won't be going until after doctor's appointment Thursday (where he'll yell about my weight and give me results of cholesterol tests from blood work - oh boy!!). Not in a hurry to go there.
I know we'll be back on track once I can get Ronnie out and we can do the "gym thing" twice a week and get our walks in again. Much too hot and humid for us right now especially with all the house building and dust blowing around. Not good for either of us.

Well, off to make nametags for miniature golf group (even though they don't have the sense of humor that Taginators due about wearing strange nametags!!).

You are all doing great as usual. If I don't get back on the wagon 100% soon, I'll be needing someting the size of the Queen Mary instead. If this darn old Fibro didn't get me so tired and make my muscles hurt so much I could be out early each morning for my walks. Oh well, maybe soon.

Later dudettes.

Mrs Claire,

There is a lovely little subdivison called "Dana Heights" that I think you should consider moving to here in Buffalo...Williamsville. The neighborhood has a lady who would love to walk every morning with you, her husband would mow the lawn when Ronnie was sick, her boys would chase those pesky rabbits out of your yard, they have a dog who is adorable, it is right off of a Main shopping area, with many more only a few minutes away, and they DO LOVE to wear name tags!

And Rosebud, I justy may take your suggestion and purchase at lest one pari of shorts in teh smaller size. I'm thinking I may need them in January...I hope, I hope!

Hey all! Today was an ok day. Tomorrow will be harder. Meeting friends to finally see Harry Potter. Meeting at a pizza place beforehand for dinner. I'm thinking that if I bank enough calories during the day I can afford a slice of cheese pizza. I'll have to think about it -- I might just skip dinner to avoid the temptation. I have all day tomorrow to decide.

Still need to exercise tonight. I'll get to that.

Amy (who is going to hold everyone on the wago -- just don't let me fall)

Say Sheryl: That neighborhood sounds terrific!!!
Maybe I'll move up there myself. Do these nice people also shovel the snow off the driveway and warm up the car for neighbors when they want to leave early to hit the stores to shop????

If so, I'll start packing. I may even keep them happy by cooking my homemade pasta sauce and lasagna and lemon chiffon cheese cake and Toll House cookies.... (oh, oh, forgot I'm among Healthinators!!! I mean, I'll cook sugar free jello, and salads, and give the boys fruit to eat and unsugared cereal and lots of raw veggies!!)

My dear Claire,

No shovel needed, I have a man here who loves the snow and owns snow blower bigger than a small car. He happens to leave for work at 6 am, so warming up that car for you won't be any trouble. They would supply you with tons of activity and you'd never be bored or lonely.

Oh, by the way, there is a lovely split level on a corner lot currently for sale a few doors down.
