In the past, we've only gotten PS for the very hard to get in resturants. However, we noticed on our past trips in April and the first week of June, that is hard to get PS the day of, especially for lunch. In April, I wanted Prime time or Sci Fi and went to make those as soon as we entered MGM. There was nothing available until 6 pm! Last week, same thing. I did get into Prime Time at 11:00 but Sci Fi was not available until 5:30
When just Ken and I went, we wanted to eat at LeCellier. I walked up at 5:00 and they said if we wanted to eat right that minute, they could get us in. The guy before me, he wanted to eat at 7:00. The only place they could get him in was Biergarten.
So, those of us who don't normally make PS, may want to rethink our plan especially if we don't want to eat at Counter Service every meal.
good to know LGC,thanks !

I've talked to quite a few people whe recently came back from WDW. The parks are very busy this summer so I would recommend getting your PS BEFORE you leave on the trip. You can always try to get a last minute PS but it seems to be getting harder this year. As for walkups, Epcot has been very difficult to get since April.
Hope Disney puts park profits into new attractions!

This is so true LGC.This is a must(a PS) durring any holiday trip.Christmas 2002 vacation I was so glad we had PSs the whole trip. Just one example, went to San Angel Inn for lunch, there was a couple in front who wanted to make a PS for anytime that day.NONE! They were all gone and it was only 11:30am! This went on the whole time we were there. So make those PSs .

This probably doesn't apply to most people here, but if you are a single diner you want to especially make sure to get a PS if you're looking to dine during main meal hours.
Usually once a trip, I send DS to one of the child care facilities and go out to dinner by myself. I didn't bother with a PS because I figured in early Dec it wasn't really necessary and being alone I wouldn't a little bit of a wait. Well, the problem was that on the particular night they weren't taking single diner walk-ins at Le Cellier at all. So the moral of the story is if you're dining alone make sure you have a PS if you want to eat in the parks.

I notice that if you try to schedule your meals at abnormal times for most people, ie lunch at 11 am dinner at 3:45-or 4 pmish, it is a lot easier to get seated without Ps!
