After reading Cheri's trip report, I started to wonder about the water slides at the resorts.
Do you go on the water slides? Do you enjoy them? Are there any you would recommend someone to NOT go on?
So far I have gone on the ones at AKL and WL, mainly because I lost a bet with my sister. But this summer we will be staying at BC and I'm kind of wondering about the slide there.
So, anyone care to share your water slide experiences with me?

We have not been at the AKL or the GF, yet, so I can't comment on those slides. We have been to the WL, BWV, BCV, and the Poly and have really had a good time at all of them. The slide at the BC is the longest, both in ride and how far you have to walk, but it is a kick! Don't miss at least trying it once or twice. The tube at the beginning can be intimidating, but I think the ride was worth it.
Have a great time and let us know what your thoughts were.

I love the dragon slide at POFQ and you betcha I'll go down it. It is more of a granny slide than the Kiester Klown slide sounds, though. I think I would try it once, like Cheri did and be sure to wear a top that won't come off.

I love water slides- only one I've tried is Dolphin (we stay cheap usually so no slides) if you want I'll bet you for the slide at Beach Club (then it won't matter who looses we can both slide together and look silly).

You can pick up some SERIOUS speed on the Flying Jib slide at Stormalong Bay (YC/BC/BCV). Both Kristen and I have done this slide, and once or twice per trip is enough for us! ;) We both loved Keister Coaster at BWV! WL and AKL are pretty calm as far as slides go. GF was fun too. Not too bad. I say give it a shot, and decide for yourself! :)

I will only go on a waterslide if my boys aren't watching. For some reason they get quite a chuckle out of seeing me go down a slide. Something about me looking silly and undignified that really cracks them up.
So, as much as I like it, I'll wait until they're not around, thank you very much!
Looking forward to trying the one at Swolphin in August.

Give a shot Sheryl. Just don't scream. ROFLOL! Here is why I think I picked up so much speed. If you sit up, you don't go as fast as when you lean back. We'll the faster I went, the more I leaned back trying to slow down. Which really propelled me out of that clowns mouth at what I know was 100 mph. So, next time, if I'm speeding up, I'm going to lean forward. Give it a try, you only go around once. :D

Dear Bernard (a true fan of shipwrecks, lol) had to try the slide at Stormalong Bay--once. He said it was a bit tooo scary for him! However I watched my niece and nephew do it nonstop for 45 minutes. Slide fans obviously love it!

Are you kidding? you have to do the slides! LOL... Those kids cna't get out of our way fast enough.LOL... We've done the poly, Dolphin, and POR. All were great. Would love to try the one at Stormalong. The Radisson on 192 has a great one too!
i've also done the ones at typhoon. Now that's where you really gotta watch what you wear! LOL...

Miss the water slides? Never! I love the slides.
I've done three resorts with slides - AKL (nothing spectacular but adequate), the Poly (standard slide but the volcano theming is really cool especially at night), and Storm Along Bay (my favorite of the resort slides).
Six year old DS is still too skittish to go down the slides himself but he thinks it's hysterical to watch Mom.
