I was out of town last week on vacation. Silly me, instead of finding some warm tropical place, I went to North Dakota during an arctic cold snap. Did bring back these for your consideration.

Spent a day at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park after getting my daughter settled in Dickinson, North Dakota, where she landed her first professional job in digital archiving with the Theodore Roosevelt Center.

Got up close and personal with some American bison (buffalo).

Some landscapes of the Badlands of North Dakota.

BTW, it was cold! -25 that morning with a high of -10. Wind chills in the -45 to -20 range. I photographed from the warmth of a car's open window. And they thought Florida was cold last week. :D

Scott, these images aren't showing up to my computer. I do see the links when I go to quote your copy. I tried them separately in another window without the img tags and still couldn't get them to open. Looking foward to seeing them later, though. I bet you thought you were in the Arctic!

By the way, congrats to your daughter. That sounds like an amazing job.

I see the pictures OK - hmm.... And they are great as always!

Congrates on the daughter's new job and what a guy to go out there during this cold spell to help her get settled. Syracuse isn't so bad afterall, huh? :peri:

I checked the tags and they look fine. I can see the photos okay, as well.

You can say that again, Dave. Feels warm around here since getting back. :)

Really nice pics Scott!

Looks beautiful from the warmth of my family room. But at -25, I can't imagine why anyone would want to live there...

Congrats to your daughter and please send her an extra blanket!

Were you wearing red when you took the pic of the bisons??

That one is giving you the eye!

I can see the pictures at home. Corporate came in and made many changes to our computers so certain photo links must be blocked. Great photos, Scott! But brrrrrrrrr! :yikes:

Love the photos! What a great job capturing ND! I am partial to this landscape and area as it is our neighbor right to the south of us. Go shopping there at least twice a year.

Thanks, everyone! I hope to go back when it's warmer though I basically had the park to myself which was nice.
