My husband and I are toying with an impromtue trip to Southern California and of course Disneyland!! :minnie: :minnie: :minnie:
My question is what is the temperature like in the end of June? How about mid July? Im looking for it to be hot as its so cold here and I hate it!!
I went once in the end of June but I cant remmerb it being hot, but my husband said it was hot when we was there.
Anyone from California? Has it been warmer than normal lately? or Cooler?

Hi Barb,
My friend Party Teacher lives in So. Cal and when I told her that we are planning a trip for the end of this month she just laughed at me. She told me this week they were toying with 100º in the shade. But then I told her that 80º and humidity was worse, so how bad could it be. The parks are open late, so take a mid day break in the room or pool.
I am in CT and we actually went over 70º+ here yesterday but we are back down in the 60s once again.
Maybe you will see us there... we will be the very pale ones.

I would die to get 100 degrees. Its about 70 today and we have noce weatehr prodicted next week but its nothing for us to drop back into the 50's as a high as fast as it gets nice out.
Thanks for the answer. I hope I can get 100

We're in the same boat as you folks are here too. Frost warnings last night if you can believe that!
We're hitting SoCal on the 28th for a few days before heading up north and I'm actually hoping for some 'hot' weather.
As you said Kelli the parks will be open late and breaks aren't against the rules. Plus with the 3 days = 5 days passes you can figure break time in right? lol

And with the hotels being so close, even if you stay off site, it is closer than taking a bus to the All Stars or Pop Century (at WDW of course!)
Don't forget the suntan lotion! Woo Hoo.
We went first week in August.... Code 90 (or something like that)
Boy was it hot (and crowded mid-week) but still the kids love DL/DCA and want to go back again soon... better to them than WDW
We got a great deal w/PL at Hyatt and Marriott (which had great things for kids to do in hotel... comp make your own pizza and other stuff)
Kell, LoriAnn have a great time.

Thank you Carolyn!
We're getting close now and as a result getting excited too. While DL is our little treat to ourselves this trip, our real reason for going west is to see hubby's mom who has not been well. (they recently came clean on just now 'not well' she really has been-gotta love those good intentions. :? ) The bulk of our time will be spent with 'Gramma Ann' and seeing hubby's sons and grand-daughter as well as the rest of the folks and friends and touring CA as much as possible in the process. We've got day trips planned all over. Lots of garden stops too! I'm very excited about that. There's a garden in San Jose' that has 3700 different roses (my current favorite project) I can't wait to see it.
DL is as I said, our treat to ourselves and we're looking forward to sharing it with Nate as it'll be his first time there. So, with passes in hand, a ressie for Blue Bayou set up, as well as a ressie for Fantasmic on the balcony, and 'planned spontenaity' for the rest of it, and hopes to bump into CM Maynard, We've only gotta pack now!
LoriAnn,
Have a safe trip to the coast.
It's hard when relatives age and you're not that close by.
The west coast has so much to offer with day trips and stuff.
Just be careful at the Fantasmic desserts for those w/coffee beans... Nate will be singing all night long.
Best regards,
Carolyn (aka Owl)

Don't worry Barb, they are showing it warming up here in CA by the weekend.
Sorry I'll miss you at DL but we will be there on Sunday.
Have a great trip!
