Anyone interested in doing this again? While I'm not Barrie, Scottwdw, or Photographer, in 2008 when we did this I found that, as much as I sometimes thought it was a pain (the discipline of always taking my camera was the pain), I really did enjoy it. I didn't quite make it to 1 per day but did come close. Here's the link to what I did http://www.flickr.com/photos/20697893@N03/sets/72157603641219955/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/20697893@N03/sets/72157603641219955/)

So does anyone else want to join in?

At TominPok's suggestion I've added links to everyone's project.

Dizfan 7's 2010 Photo Project (http://lle2010.wordpress.com/)

TominPok's 2010 Photo Project (http://www.pbase.com/tominpok/paw06)

If and/or when anyone else joins I'll add the link to their project as well (hint, hint, nudge nudge WDWNJ & Twinklebunnytoes)

I think I'll try for one a week. Every day will be pushing it especially since I work from home. You guys will get tired of seeing my cats... :)

Anyway, I'm in for one a week and I'll just post here. I don't have a flicker acct.

Oh, and Barrie, the pictures on your site above are outstanding!

I am not sure yet. I have a new camera to play with. I have signed up for some classes through the store and community ed.

I know that I need to get a new computer before I can really play and have fun.

I'm in! I had already decided to do a Photo-A-Week project for 2010. I recently purchased Adobe Lightroom, and needing to produce a photo each week will be added incentive to learn how to use it.

My PAW gallery is here: http://www.pbase.com/tominpok/paw06

Don't expect anything stunning.

I'm hoping to be ready for my first digital SLR this year...so I figure I need to learn how to use the manual settings on my point & shoot. That's what I've been working on so far.

Would it be possible to edit the first post in this thread so that it points to each of our project galleries? I think that could save us all lots of time when checking out each other's work.

You can just down load it. Follow this link and click on the picture you want, then click on the all sizes icon above the picture, decide on what size you want and finally click on download. Then it'll download to yor computer. http://www.flickr.com/photos/20697893@N03/sets/72157623003802829/

Survived my first Relay for Life fund raising event in my hometown. 12 hours of walking and more fund raising on-site plus, if you count campsite setup and breakdown, another 6 hours. Still, my team (pictured below with our team banner) raised over $4,400 (http://stphoto.wordpress.com/2010/06/21/view-130-making-lemonade/) which was good for 2nd place among the 44 teams and 684 people participating.

Have the camera in hand when reading the manual. Also, I always recommend reading Bryan Peterson's book, Understanding Exposure (4th Ed.), which will show you how to use your new camera to get those great shots you are looking for.

Thanks Scott. I'll look for the book. I've had my camera for almost a month...I feel much more comfortable now. My photos are getting better but I still have a lot more to learn about all those buttons and settings. I've discovered I don't like it in full auto mode at all.

I'm a couple weeks late in my project posts, but sticking with it. I'm going to try and get caught up tonight or tomorrow.

I'm glad some of you post photos here and keep this thread going. They're always stunning.

My bad! I should have explained what calving is. As far as the cold, it really wasn't as cold as you might think. Although, the closer we got to the ice, you could feel the temperature start to drop.
