After a milestone event in our lives, it is time to step back and reflect what we have gained from the experience. You know how I'm always looking for serious answers in life. So tell me, what did you learn at Tagomania? :mrgreenLOL:

OK - I didn't get to go, but I still learned something!
NEVER - EVER hold up or onto anything that looks like a paper or sign if WDWNJ is anywhere close by with a camera! You'll never know what you'll be saying to the world if you do!

I learned how much more relaxed it was to have Tagomania rather than Mousefest. I love the Christmas season at WDW but this was just so easy- even with the last minute things added we had a really "restful" (ok so not so very because you just have to have rope drop meets and it's so hard to say Good Night to good friends) but sure seemed to have alot less "hustle and bustle at Tagomania.
Also learned to stay out of World showcase after about 6pm on the weekends (maybe even earlier than 6).

I learned that the people who organized Capture the Magic have a warped sense of humor (wax lips and sparkly wands).:razz:
I learned that when it comes to rope drop meets I am a true member of the Lazy Butt team. ;);)
I learned that when Sheryl phones from the Outpost that they need directions and I offer to go pick them up that 7 people will not fit in my little Saturn ION. :woot::woot:
I learned that if you tell the CM's at the MNSSHP that you can only eat chocolate, you will get chocolate. :mickeyHalloween::mickeyHalloween:
I learned that long haired dogs and Cypress trees do not mix well at FWCG.:blink:

Here is what I learned
It is easier to have pool time in October than December.
No matter how hard we try - there will be rope drop meets following late nights. And there is still a two hour time difference from home to WDW!
Parks were less crowded when we were there.
World Showcase on the weekend had lots of Disney Fans who tried too much of the Wine and not enough of the Food.
The unplanned, go with the flow things still create great memories.

 Sorry Carol, I was so excited to be there, that I never even thought of how many we had.
I learned that, Yes, I am getting older and do not have the stamina that I used to on these wild trips. :? I had great intentions of making those early meets, but my body could not manage it.
I learned that I need to pay complete attention when walking into the RnR or that you can easily take a header into the pole/chain link rope thingy. After two weeks the bruises are still there, as well as Tina's SNL Target lady voice which is stuck in my head. :woot:
We learned that Danny cannot go for over an hour without something to eat.
I learned that no matter where we are, when I have to leave my Tagrel friends, it always brings tears for my eyes.:crying:
I learned that I really can talk my dear husband into doing just about anything.
I learned that even with less meets planned, we really got to spend some good quality time with everyone, becasue we were not rushed and we were able to take our time and just have fun.

I found I enjoyed the smaller more intimate Tagomania so much more than MouseFest.
I learned a new "dirty" word via phone from Alicia!
I discovered some new great restaurants.
I learned I LOVE the Food & Wine Festival.
I discovered it was HOT as heck a couple of days in October & that I don't deal well with the heat anymore!
I learned it is just as difficult to get large group meals in October as it is in December!
I learned Tina & I are a lot alike!

I second MJ's comment that the smaller group sizes for Tagomania and the more relaxed pace made for a delightful meet.
I also liked that all the meets were just social get-togethers and fun activities, that focused on the people, rather than the place (WDW) or a single person. I just don't enjoy the steady diet of WDW education that MF has become. I want to enjoy the parks with friends, not learn who picked out the colors for the barber pole on Main Street.
Going in October was great. The weather was mostly pleasant and the Food and Wine Festival was terrific. I only had one prior trip during F&W and I don't recall it being nearly as good.
I reaffirmed that Oh Mickey is a great roomie, that WDWNJ can make me squirt beer out my nose, and the GHJ has a sense of play that is as big as he is. It was a great time.

I learned that during Capture the Magic you should always get a picture of the Camera Man!

I learned a lot too.
1. Living here means LESS time in the parks, not more. That darn job keeps asking me to show up in order to get paid. Just another reason I had to quit.
2. It's great to have old friends. The younger ones were fine too.
3. Food & Wine is the best EPCOT event of the year. Except the parts with food. And wine.
4. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party should be renamed. Disney fans are not that fit and an open invitation to show up in spandex costumes is indeed scary. Especially when you realize Tinkerbell looks a lot like your 250 lb. mailman.
5. Drinking is not necessary to have a good time. But it sure as heck never makes you have a worse time.
6. Moderately over-priced frozen lemoncello drinks in Italy are delicious on their own but are greaty improved by bringing along that special someone who will pay for it if you say pleeeeeeease?
7. Saying pleeeeeease 24 times in a row in an increasingly high pitch in order to secure free booze becomes ineffective after round 1. In this case switch to "Fine, drive yourself home."
8. Any and all disagreements can be melted away with the simple phrase "Babe, you can have my bag of candy."
9. Text messages are an effective way to communicate with people who are far away, but they are just as effective, and far more comical when used to communicate with people just a few feet away.
10. Male dancers dressed as cowboys bring out the best in some people. In other people it brings out a really scary version of the song OKLAHOMA that won't end until he forgets the words.
11. Not seeing people for almost a year means they have a fresh take on how much of you there is to love. Also known as the "Have you put on weight?" This is often followed by the "No, I mean fat looks good on you."
12. I learned that you shouldn't make lists this long if using your laptop and not wearing pants. They get kinda hot.
13. I learned that the kid who came to this site a few years ago no longer exsists. But it's cool because a much happier version is now roaming Orlando.

This is exactly what I was looking for in life lessons.
And, Cruiser, how cool it is that you got to make Angelina Jolie a group leader of Capture the Magic.

I learned that you can see Hallowishes from Italy. And the view is fantastic. Especially when shared with just a few friends.
I learned that Le Cellier, even though it's good, did not impress me as much as it does some others. I've had better steaks at Longhorn, for half the money. But the company was outstanding.
I learned that MNSSHP is far and away better than MVMCP. Especially if you're in an elaborate and goofy-looking costume. And are 6'-4" tall. And can play the part.
I learned that Tonys Town Square has truly excellent chicken parmigiana.
I learned that the Food and Wine Festival is best enjoyed during the week, because it gets WAY crowded on weekends.
I learned that the cheap, $1 a tube, cream-based green face paint from WalMart gets on EVERYTHING you touch. And it runs when you sweat. Yet it won't come completely off for days afterward, no matter how many times you wash.
I learned that, were I ever to relocate to Orlando, I could be conversationally fluent in Spanish in less than a year. Orlando es todomente Espanol ahora.
I learned what it's like to be Norm Peterson, as I walked through the park with people calling "Shrek!" from as much as 100 feet away.
I learned a route from Best Western Lakeside into WDW property that avoids US 192 entirely.
I didn't learn what it's like to see a rocket launch from Orlando, because they postponed the darn thing till the morning after I got home.

I learned that the Food and Wine Festival is much better than I'd anticipated.
I learned that Free Dining Plan is a great way to keep a foodoholic filled up without going bankrupt. AND that the snack credits work at the Food and Wine Festival!
I learned that yes, Tagomania was a lot more fun than MouseFest!
I learned that I could easily improve my very weak Japanese by spending lots of time at the Japan pavilion...the CM's there seemed to be so pleased that we were trying to communicate in their language....Masayo was an incredible help, too- what a special lady she is! Someday, I just HAVE to make a trip to Japan!!
I learned that I just can't wait until next year!!
The main thing I learned is that it is more fun at Disney with other Tags than it is alone.

Honestly, I learned that Tags are really nice to Newbies! I was pretty intimidated about going where there were a bunch of people I didn't know, but everyone was so nice there.

I learned everyone was nice. I wish I could have made more meets. People give rides to people they just met. Thanks Susan!!!
Michael did you know golf carts looked like Minnie and said Boo Ya All.
Or that some people really go all out on RVs.
Thanks for including new people. Wish I could have met more.
