I'm very, very happy!
We were booked in at the BCV for 12/17 only, the night before our cruise. I love BCV but we've stayed there twice and I've really wanted to try VWL for quite some time. So anyway, I called to change for that one night. Well, then I started talking to the CM and she said to be sure to buy my MVMCP ticket asap if I was planning to go that night because Fridays tend to sell out quickly. I hadn't planned to, so I thanked her and got off the phone.
Then I got to thinking about what a lovely time we had last year at MVMCP and that we really should go back sometime because we really were't able to hear the audio for Wishes (we were watching from Frontier Land) and we never did make it to the parade. But then I got to thinking, gee, I really don't want to go on a crowded Friday night. Well, what if I add on another night? Hmmm, I better check airline to see what impact changing the day has on airfare before I go adding any days. Well, it turns out none, but the problem is that if I use the bargain discount cheapo regional carrier we don't get into Orlando until 11pm at night. So the only way going to MVMCP on Thurs will work is if I add on Wednesday night as well. So I call DVC and miracle of miracles they have a studio available for all three nights. Cool! I have enough points and vacation time to add the two extra days. Double cool!
But wait, it gets worse...
In the process of checking the airfare, I realize that bargain discount cheapo carrier does not have any return flights on the day our ship gets into Pt Canaveral. I check out what the return one way would be with a regular commercial carrier vs. a night at the Radisson. Guess which is cheaper? Yes, the Radisson.
Did I mention that sandwiched in the middle of this is a ten day cruise?
I think I need psychiatric help.
I know that two weeks probably doesn't sound like much to some of you, but other than my maternity leave six years ago, I've never been away from the office that long.
I'm so happy I could cry.
